| How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 11:06am On Mar 30 |
Good morning NL, welcome to another brand new day and week. Back to the topic. I'm not a politician, don't support anyone nor party. Infact I started learning politics on this forum. But I still have one or two things to always say about our political climate and especially about the 2027 general election. . It's no longer news that APC and president Tinubu doesn't have any opposition. PDP, LP, APGA has already endorsed president Tinubu for re-election. The only party trying to behave like a serious opposition is the ADC. They have some political heavyweights and if Kwankwaso and Makinde should join them, they may become formidable but...... The but there is bcus of a clash of interest. Almost all the heavyweights bar Makinde wants to be the presidential candidate. And my mind and permutation is telling, any of them that doesn't get the ticket will want to work against the candidate or their supporters will do. And among all of them (I am assuming Kwankwaso and Makinde to be among) only Atiku and Obi have a wider supportership across the nation. Kwankwaso and Makinde only has regional support, I don't even know if Ameachi has any support base, so this guys are rule out remaining Atiku and Obi. Any of this latter two that didn't get the ticket, my earlier disposition comes into play. And with all this playing out, it's a straight victory for president Tinubu. . But if they want to give president Tinubu and APC a serious run for their money, they all have to come together, puts heads together and present a consensus candidates that all of them will support both financially and morally. So here's my own suggestion and pairing that will give APC a serious fight. Mr Abubakar Atiku, if I am one of your adviser. I will just tell you to forgo this your presidential ambition and become an elder statesman and godfather to the other aspirants cus the odds are not in your favor. If ADC should present you, you're from the North and the South won't want to handover their remaining Four years to North, even Obidients will vote for Tinubu or abstain from the election totally. That will be a big win for president Tinubu. Same goes for Kwankwaso. It now goes down to Amaechi and Obi who are from the South. And like I said earlier, Amaechi doesn't have the type of Supportership Obi has. The onus now fall on Obi. . But before Obi should be made the consensus candidate. He has to be made to swear with anything or gods they have to consult that he will only complete the remaining 4yr tenure of the south and hand over to the North. That Northerner now is between Atiku and Kwankwaso. At 83 yrs of age by 2031, I still think Atiku should forgo the ambition and leave it for Kwankwaso. Now, for Kwankwaso to get that 2031 ticket. He has to be told to swallow his pride and ego and become VP to Obi to complete the South 4yr tenure. Then when it gets to his turn, he will pick between Amaechi or Makinde as his VP. Even though I doubt Amaechi will want to become one. But with the promise that any of them that is left out will become the consensus candidate when the North finish serving their turn. Even though I don't know how old they'll both be by 2039. . So folks, with all this in place and all the heavyweights in ADC pulling in one direction. I believe Obi/Kwankwaso ticket with the full support of other heavyweights like Atiku, Amaechi, Makinde, El Rufai, Malami and co, together with Obi and Kwankwaso supporters will give president Tinubu and APC a serious fight and can eventually win. Anything aside that is a straight victory for president Tinubu before 12 noon on election day. This is just my wishful thinking and permutations, will the ADC and the numerous egos in the party tow that line, we awaits. |

Kalulu44:You try but others see it differently. But the general consensus is that the opposition must unite to win the upcoming election. |

Sangoamadioha1:I pray they unite well without rancour |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Sannisege: 12:51pm On Mar 30 |
They should have united when Tinubu was not in power. Now it is too late. Tinubu cannot be defeated in 2027. Decamping of governors into APC was primarily to take away financial and other resources from the opposition. Now no state governor can openly support the opposition financially. The opposition is crippled. All their potential financial sponsors like El rufai, malami, Timipre sylva have been hunted down. No hope for the opposition. |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by CorperKola: 1:00pm On Mar 30 |
This idea is laughable No southerner has defeated an incumbent before Only a northerner which is buhari has done that before No igbo person has been directed elected president before in the history of Nigeria And you want to try it with tinubu I laugh There is a reason it hasnt happened before History is totally against your calculation The best bet is an atiku/peter obi combo Any other thing is a joke The igbos need incumbency in form of VP and the ruling party to become president, that can work for Obi later on NOT in 2027 |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Freshtruth(m): 1:14pm On Mar 30 |
Kalulu44:Because Atimu got over 6 m votes n kwakwaso with a new party got over one million votes n u called atiku national n kwakwaso or regional lol . Ok if kwakwaso use pdp platform he will clear all the North ok give Atiku nnpp platform without any structure weda ge go see one million votes u just open ur mouth write and conclude without thinking |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 1:17pm On Mar 30 |
Sannisege:Hmmm.... You are somehow correct. But don't forget Obi didn't have any governor backing him before he ruffles feathers in the last election. Me think this time around people will collect money and whatever from politicians and still vote their choice. The grievances against this government is getting out of hand that can sway it in favor of the opposition even with the money and resources the present government have |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 1:21pm On Mar 30 |
CorperKola:Where in my write up did I bring in Igbo, Yoruba or whatever you're mentioning. And I didn't say they'll defeat Tinubu outrightly, but give him a run for his money. A close call. And again who told you history can't be altered. |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 1:24pm On Mar 30 |
Freshtruth:Sorry sir, I am a political novice like I said in my write up and no need for the insult. I didn't know about that, just assumed since Atiku has been there before Kwankwaso |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Osebanjo(m): 1:46pm On Mar 30 |
2027 is literally Atikus last chance to chase his long time dream and ambition again. How do you think he’ll actually just forgo that and watch Obi get the ADC ticket. Age is no longer on waziris side and this will probably be his last chance to try again. The major reason he was hellbent on bringing Obi to the ADC was that he believes the repeat of their 2019 PDP presidential ticket can actually unsit PBAT. So I don’t see anyway anyone else can get the ADC ticket. Even if at all the ticket is eventually zoned down to the south, Amaechi will win Obi in primary. And then if Makonde eventually joins then that will be more trouble. So as it is right now, the ticket that can give PBAT running nose and sleepless night is the repeat of the 2019 PDP presidential ticket. I don’t see any other ticket troubling the sitting president really. If Obi won’t take the VP slot, it will be his loss at the end because likes of Amaechi and Makinde will gladly take it with gratitude and if Obi decides to go contest under another party, then we’ll just be having a repeat of 2023. As for Kwankwaso, I think he’s ok with whatever position for now and rightly waiting for North’s time to contest the presidency if not he wouldn’t have move to the ADC. |

Kalulu44:It is a fact that peter obi is igbob is it not Did i call u igbo?? No !! Because i dont know Everything i stated is a fact that is relevant to this convo The goal of ADC is to defeat tinubu Or is the goal to just give him a run for his money You are a very funny individual |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Sheuns(m): 2:08pm On Mar 30 |
Which written rule says the south must use 8 years? That’s APC permutation and it doesn’t apply to other political parties. When APC came in 2015 to displace Jonathan, how many people sang it was the turn of the south then? We have Northern Nigeria, Igbos and Yorubas. There’s nothing like Southern Nigeria sadly. Down south, we don’t see ourselves as one when compared to our northern counterparts. |

| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Onme(m): 4:47pm On Mar 30 |
Forget obedient noise. The only combo that can give tinubu run for is money and send him to iragbiji is atiku/obi combo. North will vote for Atiku mercilessly and east will vote for obi too |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 6:53pm On Mar 30 |
CorperKola:Lolz! Funny indeed. But you know bringing out Atiku who's from North will spoil everything. That's what brought PDP to their knees today. I bet you if Atiku comes out, it will be a very easy victory for Tinubu. APC are banking on that and my mind is telling you also want it so that Tinubu will have that easy victory. |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by Kalulu44(op): 7:08pm On Mar 30 |
Osebanjo:You have spoken well. But let's tell ourselves the truth. Atiku emerging as ADC candidate is what APC and Tinubu are really praying for. Cus they know the Southerners will not vote for a northerner when south hasn't completed their term. And believe you me, Obi supporters will either vote Tinubu or not vote at all. And that's advantage APC. Like my post rightly said, Atiku should just respect himself and be an elder statesman. Cus the humiliating defeat he will receive this time around eh hmmm... As for Amaechi and Obi, Amaechi can only win Obi in the primaries with buying of delegates. Everyone of them knows Obi's fan base is still intact. Any sidelining him, they'll lose the fanbase. That Obi's fan base together with Kwankwaso northern hegemony is a serious threat for APC and Tinubu. Anything aside this combination is a huge victory for Tinubu. If it were the turn of the north, ehen Atiku would have had a chance. But that zoning is seriously against him. My 2 cent take |
| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by CorperKola: 7:12pm On Mar 30 |
Kalulu44:Stick with a formular that has worked before Buhari defeated jonathan a southerner in 2015 On the other hand like i said before an igbo man like peter obi has not been directly elected president before in the entire history of the country Why will a wise person adopt a strategy that has never worked before and abandon one that worked as lately as 12 years ago Whose interest does that serve if not the incumbent Are you just being sentimental or u are working for your money All the atiku destroyed pdp in 2019 That one na story for the gods This is strategy not sentiments If the best the south can come up with is tinubu then let the north have it |

Sheuns:Yes there's no written rule, but it's this same situation that brought PDP to its knees. Whether there's a rule like that or not, the majority of Nigerians has already taking it to be turn by turn. And yes we have North and South. If south do not unite like their northern counterparts is nobody's fault. The 6 geopolitical zones are NC, NE, NW, SE, SS and SW. If you noticed the zones either starts with North or South. |

| Re: How ADC Can Defeat APC And Tinubu by SixSeven: 7:26pm On Mar 30 |
Aside Obi and Kwankwanso, no other politician has been able to prove themselves ALONE outside the establishment. Repost👇 Obi has the brightest chance going by the last election result followed by Kwankwanso. I choose these two because they left PDP and did not have the structure of the regular party, which Atiku benefitted from using the PDP platform. You also have to look at the time they had to test themselves between the election primaries and election. If you want to know what that means, Ribadu ran the Presidential election in 2011 under AC and failed with that party structure. Obi and Kwankwanso have been able to test their popularity as candidates outside the regular establishments and done well. Both had no Governors in their party before contesting and pulled a good number in the last election. Buhari used his CPC to bargain with AC to get the Presidential slot in APC. Buhari could say whether he used ANPP or CPC, he could gather votes. I'm not so sure Atiku can do that. He was a presidential candidate of the Action Congress in the 2007 presidential election coming in third to Umaru Yar'Adua of the PDP and Muhammadu Buhari of the ANPP. Atiku came a distant third in that election with less than 10% of the votes. Obi and Saraki/Kwankwanso A Saraki will be a difficult campaign for APC that has defaulted to using tribes against themselves. Saraki ticks two boxes of Yoruba/North Central who have been looking for relevance since Gowon. Here is the stats of the declared winners since 1999. Mr Bola Ahmed tinubu was not a popular president elect Here is the brief, factual list of Nigeria’s presidential election winners since 1999, including each winner’s name and the percentage of valid votes they received. 1999 – Olusegun Obasanjo: about 62.78% of valid votes. 2003 – Olusegun Obasanjo: about 61.94% of valid votes. 2007 – Umaru Musa Yar’Adua: about 69.60% of valid votes. 2011 – Goodluck Jonathan: about 58.87% of valid votes. 2015 – Muhammadu Buhari: about 53.96% of valid votes. 2019 – Muhammadu Buhari: about 55.60% of valid votes. 2023 – Bola Ahmed tinubu: about 36.6–37% of valid votes. A United opposition will defeat tinubu before the election begins. With a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin. There is no need to argue about that. Fact: Tinubu remains the most unpopular president to have won the Presidential elections. He is the easiest to kick out. Back then, PDP told AC, CPC and opposition parties when they were reigning that to kick us out, you need to unite as opposition. That's what they learned in 2015.

"But before Obi should be made the consensus candidate. He has to be made to swear with anything or gods they have to consult that he will only complete the remaining 4yr tenure of the south and hand over to the North" The bolded won't happen... It's called politics for a reason There is no political logical way out for the opposition... All political permutations favours APC .. Our elections are based majorly on regional considerations ...and this is exactly why no permutations favours the opposition. Take a look at those in ADC...the ones that have the capacity to win elections in the South is Peter Obi..he can only achieve this if the North fully supports him....but Regional considerations of the North expecting Power in 2031 will not allow them to support him...it's a plain logical truth. If you take any aspirant in ADC from the North...say Atiku...he can win if he gets the support of the South ...but, Regional considerations comes in again on the bias that North has done 8 years .the south just did 4 ...so the south will neveysupprt Atiku. So, regional considerations is the major road block to ADC chances. A Goodluck Jonathan, that has just one constitutional term, if he joins ADC can be more appealing to the North and get their support....Can he get the ADC and get their ticket? He is not even in consideration |

I will just tell you to forgo this your presidential ambition and become an elder statesman and godfather to the other aspirants cus the odds are not in your favor. This your starting statement has spoilt everything you have to say. Don't forget that Atiku bought ADC cos of his personal ambition to become the president. Every other person that you see joining ADC is aligning with making Atiku the president. "My Godson is a president" is different from "I am the president " Or you didn't see what Buhari and his cabals did to Tinubu while he was forming godfather in APC? Or you didn't see what Kano state governor did to kwankwaso? The aim of ADC is to make Atiku the president any person that doesn't align with this will eventually leave the party. |
