They follow their sister country Nigeria by disobeying court order. All African political leaders are always disobey court ruling except few of them. That's why Western countries don't take them serious in anything related to law

“It has not been easy these last few weeks (for the victims). I just want to tell you that they have embarked on mass deportation of all the detainees. 13 people were deported on Monday and 18 of them left early this Thursday morning,” Nwafor said.

Nwafor did not bother to tell what kind of traders are they..
"Diaspora Tales had reported that 42 Nigerian traders were arrested on February 28 by the Mozambican authorities at a spare parts market in Maputo, the capital of the country"

Under tinubu's government no country in the world regard Nigeria.

This isn’t on Tinubu! It’s on you. They can see the hate you spew about the country!

They see all the nonsense happening in Nigeria, a country were the judicial system has failed, the country's president was a drug baron, corruption and many more atrocities.
Your brothers are arrested for crimes in other countries, but it's the Nigerian President that you will blame.
The same people getting arrested for drugs daily are the same people calling others Drug Baron. Go figure

I don't like the say the ministry of foreign affairs operates at all, they are too slow and there is a need to change the leadership. This woman NIDCOM is really trying her best, if not for her sample country would have spat on our faces.

This is he height of insensitivity and callousness. The ordacity alone to treat nigerians like this first should attract a total shut down of their diplomatic arrangement here without explanation. I mean what will we need Mozambique for that we can't get elsewhere. We shouldn't allow a country not up to one of our states here in Nigeria misbehave to us. We need to stand on our feet not only by sending endless letters to people we ordinary needs to put in their place. This kind of thing emboldens effontry.

Keep quiet. When you reside in a country without papers and most likely being involved in crime why wouldn't they deport you. Look at the names. Mozambique of all places.

NIDCOM demands due process for 42 Nigerians detained in Mozambique

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has called on the Mozambican authorities to ensure due process for 42 Nigerians reportedly detained in the country, demanding official clarification on the reasons for their arrest.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Commission’s spokesman, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, NIDCOM said the Mozambican National Criminal Investigation Service had denied detaining other nationals apart from the 42 Nigerians but had yet to officially communicate the circumstances surrounding their detention.

The Commission expressed concern that the Nigerian High Commission in Mozambique had not been formally notified about the arrests, despite reports that the detainees were allegedly held for staying illegally in the country.

Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the commission had received several distress calls from relatives of the detained Nigerians, who were worried about their well-being.

“Their families have been reaching out with distress calls and are worried about the condition of their spouses,” Dabiri-Erewa said.

She further alleged that the detainees’ personal belongings, including mobile phones and money, were confiscated at the time of their arrest.

“They confiscated their cell phones, personal belongings and money with them at the time of arrest. The Embassy has written to their Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the office of the Attorney General,” she added.

Dabiri-Erewa urged Mozambican authorities to either formally charge the Nigerians to court if they had committed any offence or release them immediately.

She stressed that the Nigerian government does not condone criminal activities by its citizens abroad but insisted that no Nigerian should be detained without being informed of the offence allegedly committed.

According to her, “If indeed the Nigerians committed any offence, the authorities should formally charge them to a court of law, make the offence public or set them free as against illegally detaining them.”

The Commission also released the names of the detained Nigerians, including Augustine Okeke, Maximus Anayo, Okechukwu Eche, Anaerobi Martins, Stephen Okongwe, Onwujewe Raymond, Chukwunazorom John, Aginam David, Collins Uzoewulu, Okonkwo Johnpaul, Onwunyili Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu Ezechiedum, Nnamdi Okechukwu, Celestine Okalu, Goodluck Ephrain, Ebuka Pablo, Chukwuemeka Ugwu, Cislouyindika Ezeifeoma, Chinedu Igwilo, Ideh Ezinwa, Ogochukwu Okonkwor, Okechukwu Christopher, Chinedu Okeke, Chukwuebuka Oraka, Simon Nnaemeka, Onyeka Ufondo, Chidera Christopher, Nzube Ebere, Ekene Nwana, Christian Muoka, Gerald Godwin, Ogu Inyang, Oluebubechukwu Maduka, Onyedika Kingsley, Donatus Uchi, Chinecherem Alu, Emmanuel Ugwu, Muoneke Mateus, Martin Mbakwe, Ikechukwu Nwali, Lotanna Okeke and Emeka Henry Ekenta.

NIDCOM said it would continue to engage with the Nigerian High Commission and relevant Mozambican authorities to ensure the safety and fair treatment of the detainees.
