One Amotekun officer is better than 15 police officers altogether. Amotekun will still enter forest occupied by bandits and kidnappers but Nigerian police will rather run away.

That's federal police for you. They are not indigenous to the state so they don't have that natural emotional attachment to it. They are only interested in extorting motorists. This is why state police is imperative and urgent but Tinubu is foot dragging for ulterior motives. It didn't take the national assembly more than one day to amend the constitution for a new national anthem for Tinubu, so why is state police being deliberately delayed?

Why this is a serious issue, I don't know why I find the action of the officers funny. If na u, u no go run?

The only officers who could have stood to fight the bandits are those, anti kidnapping, anti robbery squads. Those are the only squad I know usually put their life on the line during gun duels.

who told you? The issue is the absence of the will power. Even if our police have the same weapon, they will still run away💔. Our security agencies are only bold when they are the only ones holding weapons , when the other person is also holding weapon, they disappear💔

I know people will abuse me, and will say I am excusing bad government, but hear me out.

Our police force budget is not up to 2 billion dollars, or 3 trillion naira...for the whole nation.

Meanwhile, by my estimate, for Lagos, alone, the city, not the state...Lagos would need something like 13 trillion naira for an EFFECTIVE POLICE FORCE...that would be able to police the state up to the level it deserves.

Nigerians routinely abuse people like ,medical personell , policemen, the post office, army, even our tv stations for poor service, without asking how much their budget is..how much they spend on them

Meanwhile, bandits can use arms anyhow, because they rob people, and they can buy the illegal arms circulating around the country.

The police could have faced the armed bandits, and they would have been wiped out , and then the bandits would have faced the people because their firepower no pass their own
