The Plateau State Government has reiterated that the ban on commercial motorcycle operators, popularly known as Okada, within the Jos Greater Master Plan remains in full force and is actively being enforced, Rep9ja reports.

In a public notice signed by the Commissioner for Transport, Davou Gyang Jatau, the government stated that relevant authorities, including mobile courts and security operatives, have been directed to intensify patrols, prosecute offenders, and ensure strict compliance with the directive.

The government further urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement of motorcycles within the restricted areas to security agencies for prompt action.

It also clarified that the operational hours for tricycle operators (Keke) within Jos and Bukuru metropolis remain between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The Plateau State Government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining safety, order, and efficient transport services across the state.

It's not thoughtful. Rather, they're plunging the citizens into further difficulties.

Chase the terrorists, prosecute them, and send them to meet their 72 virgins.

Always doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result...

They can never think outside the box and only react and never proactive undecided

These are temporary measures that will go lax with everyone returning to their normal lives after 2 or at most 3 months.... it's high time they start thinking of a lasting and permanent solution.

These killings are just too crude and barbaric and it's a shame we have people who call themselves leaders who can't find a solution to this decade long problem!
Re: Plateau Government Reaffirms Ban On Commercial Motorcycles In Jos Metropolis by DaGC(m): 1:09pm On Mar 31
We really should be proactive in this country. We are always reactive.😮‍💨

I don't think votes are counting in this country while INEC chairman is performing his own magic..

Back when you thought that food was cheap and affordable, people were complaining about food being expensive.

The problem is, Nigeria has never been a country based on industries, but on sale of resources, which is why inflation affects us more than say a industrial country like china and japan and germany.

Vote out APC , but also vote out resource dependency and vote in industrialization and productivity

Always ban and reaffirm without a single solution to the menace even when the bandits moves freely on bikes who are the security architect to caution them and restore normalcy. Same thing over and over again

Reaffirms ban yet they are still killing. Don't you think is time you re_strategize, because, keep the same thing and no result is useless.

There is ban on bikes yet over 50 could be used to attack and kill people, leave freely and none have been tracked down till now. Yet that fat, amoebic, air brained governor they have in Plateau state strolled in an armoured tank and was smiling as he addressed the people. Plateau people have gone soft.

As governor, Joshua Dariye was beaten up quite nicely when he tried taking Plateau civil servants forgranted.

He said military men aided them, so what do you have to say about that?

So that is the gov's TEMPORARY SOLUTION for now?
If Plateau and Benue States were in Europe, they should have gotten their sovereign countries shortly after this madness started, like the European countries of diverse value systems were dissolved immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Who does not understand that a sovereign country with guarded borders for the Plateau and Benue people is the PERMANENT SOLUTION to the madness?
