The Israeli Foreign Ministry has confirmed the deaths of three service members who fell in combat during the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) ongoing ground invasion of Southern Lebanon.

The soldiers, identified as Captain Noam Madmoni, Staff Sergeant Ben Cohen, and Staff Sergeant Maxsim Entis, were all members of the Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion (934th) within the Nahal Brigade.

The announcement, made early Tuesday morning, marks a somber moment for the IDF as it continues its high-stakes military operations across the Lebanese border.

The three soldiers were reportedly engaged in active combat operations when they were killed. The Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion is an elite unit often tasked with spearheading ground maneuvers and conducting high-risk intelligence gathering in hostile territory.

In a statement released on X handle and through official diplomatic channels, the Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the bereaved families.

"Our hearts are with their families and loved ones. May their memories be a blessing," the Ministry stated.

The deaths of Madmoni, Cohen, and Entis underscore the increasing human cost of the ground invasion, which Israel maintains is necessary to dismantle militant infrastructure and secure its northern border.

These latest fatalities add to the growing list of IDF service members killed since the ground phase of the conflict intensified.

The Nahal Brigade has been central to the IDF’s strategy in Lebanon, focusing on neutralizing tunnel networks and launch sites used for cross-border attacks.

The news has triggered a wave of tributes across Israel. Military officials noted that the loss of a commissioned officer and two experienced staff sergeants in a single engagement represents a significant blow to the 934th Battalion.

Funeral arrangements for the three soldiers are expected to be announced later today, as the nation prepares to honor those lost in what the government describes as a "war for national security."
