Plateau state has become a theater of wars. Over time with a reasonable numbers of years now Plateau state is the only state battling with religious wars and crisis. A state once known with the slogan of home of peace and tourism has now become a home of war and bloodshed... |

Let me say this. The curfew was not necessary. It made the killing appear as a religious crisis. This was a deliberate attempt to trigger religious unrest in the vicinity because there has been religious tension among the two religious groups. Maybe the terrorist forgot to shout Allahu Akbar to make it a religious act but that is unheard of about religious killings from Islamic terrorists. No one accused any religious sect until after the curfew. A little alarm was what was needed and a collaborative effort between the christian and Moslem community to apprehend the culprit but the curfew created religious tension. It is high time for the Moslem community to start collaborating with the Christian counterpart to apprehend culprits involved in this kind of killings so they won't be seen as working together with the culprits. You won't see the culprits running into christian communities but into already suspicious Moslem communities. |

thesolutions:I beg to be differ sir, with the fragility of how Plateau state particularly Jos is when it comes to religious issues the government did the best thing to impose that curfew after seeing the gory photos and videos of the gruesome killing of the unprovoked people and the immediate negative reaction of their loved ones. Looking at how the youths especially from the Christian wing were agitating if not for the curfew the situation would have escalated and spiral into an uncontrollable bloody events...The maximalist contingence and measures were not only necessary but mandatory if not there would have been multiple reprisal attacks that would have worsen the situation. Apparently, both christians and muslims share blames in Jos religious crisis. Why will innocent people be passing on the road and will be attacked to death unprovoked? Why will you take your cows to someone farm destroyed the farm products and still kill the farmer when he protest? Equally, for you to say that it was not a religion issue you get it wrong. Where the attack happened is almost encapsulated with muslims population why carefully chosen that christian area to launch the attack? Why then was the quick visitation of Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo and the America missionary activist Alex Babir? |

I lived in this state for years... My best and most favorite state to live in of all the states I have lived in. A state that had so much potential but now a shadow of it's past self. It's so sad and heartbreaking thinking of this once beautiful place and what it has become! |

runningriot:They have said it many times, Fulanis should leave their state! What is hard to understand there? They should leave the state! You don't forcefully stay with people or in their forest when they have already told you to go. And why did the Army come in as at the time their destiny was in their hands? Why weren't they there before the Fulani killed the people? Fulani must go! |

Whoever wrote the statement turned the curfew time upside down. Following the statement , it means people can only come out from 3pm when it is supposed to be the other way round . Please clarify |

EmperorIsaac:Now have you heard the latest. The curfew was lifted and the feared killing commenced. Now Jos is on lockdown. No media frenzy now even though more people were killed than the initial number by armed men. That I suggested something different from the usual that has not yielded any solutions over the years doesn't make me a novice. |
