A landlord reportedly returned from a short trip to discover a full building structure erected on his compound all done by his tenant. The tenant had initially requested permission to place a small container in the compound. Believing it was harmless, the landlord approved it. Oluwa lo ni ile, lol Some tenants worse than landlords. Especially if it involves land. I know of a man that was given a farmland to use for more than 5 years.....by a woman (the owner). When the woman notified him of her intentions to use the land...with a year extension period....obio, na so problem start. The man no gree. Even went ahead to forge land receipt. Lol. The law will back him up,he should give the tenant grace of 1month and file a report to the court.if the landlord grants him this shops the life of the landlord is in grave danger. The tenant most have done something spiritual guessing his landlord won't come back. He should first give him quick notice and give home time to remove or demolish the shop as simple as that 3 Likes |

The tenant must be booted out. I hope the tenancy agreement sigmed waens the lessee of the consequences of unauthorised construction? In addition, Lagos State will also sanction the tenant. He has no government approval for the structures built. |
