Some people must have really low self esteem to be so desperate for titles.
Why are our brothers so desperate for titles for validation? I have been offered several titles in my town several times, and I always turn them down.

Mariangeles:
What is the history of royalty?

Which first king of any kingdom was ever born king?
What man was born king from the beginning of the world?

If that is true, then no wonder the saying goes Igbo bu ofu.

Even the Israelites offended God when they asked for a man king.
Since you know all these, why is the Warrant Chief called the Obi of Onitsha referred to as a king?

This is not unique to only the people from the eastern part of Nigeria. The fact is that many Nigerians, especially the Ibos and the Yorubas, have a significant appreciation for titles and power, and they often like to display it.

The association also blamed organisers of the coronation for what it described as “continued embarrassment” to the Igbo people and Nigerians generally.

Let's all celebrate the ending of enslavement in Egypt under the Pharaoh.

Looking forward to this platform's dedication to the faithful and some pics of Seder Plates.

Some are Royal blooded but aren't kings. Eg, Princes of Kano and Princes of the Olu of Warri.

But in Igboland, you have Warrant Chiefs. Before the coming of the British, there was no single royalty in Igboland.
Obi of Onitsha is from Benin Royal Family but they didn't see themselves as part of Igboland until Colonisation
They saw themselves as an extension of Benin Kingdom

Igbos are acephalous historically... No central authority. Kingship started therein in less than 100 years ago. I stand to be corrected.
You are hereby corrected.

What's the big deal about the so called eze Igbo.
Why will someone having make enough money, living in comfort and peace in other people's land now want a kingdom for himself and make himself a king when there's already traditionally recognized king in that foreign land. To me I believe it's unnecessary. It's like having belle full you're now looking for something to burst the belly

I'm curious, can anyone from the Igbo tribe just ordain himself as King without having any royal blood?
Royal blood is man made, some inherited from their forefathers, some choose to rotate their kingship from one family to another. In the case of ezeigbo it's just a social leadership structure among Igbos in diaspora, it's not a traditional heritage or recognized among Igbo traditional council, and there's no way they'd ever encroach their host's traditional stool.

Whatever they are before the coming of the white men to igboland it still doesn't devalue their status or make other kings in other regions of nigeria more superior to any igwe in any community in igboland.

What's the use of having a social tribal leader in diaspora? I mean there are Nigerian embassies on standby, in case you guys encounter some issues while in diaspora.

What is the color of yoruba royal blood? Blue, black or green? Us there a difference between the type of blood these "royals" carry and the one you carry??
Please tell us....

Again, how did they become ""royals"? Ordained by the gods? Or did they use violence to ambush the people at a point just to force the the people to regard them as royals?

If so, why are you trapped in the laughable mentality that there is a difference between you and themhuh

Once again, tell us;what is the colour of the royal blood and how is their type of blood different from that of others??
