In Nigeria, drinking soda is not just a habit, it's a culture. You go to a buka, there's cold soda on the table. You attend a party, the fridge is loaded with any cold soda. Though nobody is telling that the sugar in those drinks is slowly and silently stacking up damage inside your body. And by the time you start to feel it, the harm has been building for years. The zobo question na the real one. Unsweetened zobo, tigernut milk, or chilled water with lemon scratch that same cold drink itch without the sugar spike. Problem is most people brewing zobo still load it with sugar - you're basically recreating the same damage in a different bottle. Two weeks without soda and your taste buds genuinely recalibrate.
