More than 25,000 Nigerian graduates who studied in the Republic of Niger remain unable to commence the mandatory national service programme seven years after completing their studies, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has revealed

What should have been a routine transition into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the association said, has instead turned into a prolonged and unresolved ordeal, one that has left thousands of young Nigerians stranded, their careers stalled and their futures uncertain.

“This is no longer just an administrative delay; this is institutional injustice,” he said.

He added that if left unresolved, the situation could create avoidable diplomatic concerns between Nigeria and the Republic of Niger.

Niger, Togo, Benin Republic, even some schools in Cameroon, avoid them.

These are schools run by Nigerian swindlers living in those countries.

Some of these 'Universities' are a 3 bedroom apartment.

NUC had warned, they have graduated from foreign glorified secondary called university. By the way, what quality of education available in Niger, of all West Africa countries that is not obtainable in Nigeria?
Re: 25,000 Nigerian Graduates Still Await NYSC Mobilisation Seven Years After - NANS by Richtaiwo(m):
The Corps is to mobilise Nigerian graduates from all degree- or equivalent-awarding institutions for national service before they are deemed qualified to enter the labour market.

If a graduate, whether trained within or outside the country, is not mobilised because their institution does not meet the required standards, the appropriate step is to resolve the issue with the relevant authorities.

For example, one cannot attend a questionable institution abroad, claiming to have studied law or medicine within an unrealistically short period, and then expect to be mobilised for national service as a legitimate graduate.

There are rules governing every system, failure to comply with them should not be followed by loud objections when the associated privileges are rightly withheld.

This one seems content to shout “Tinubu” and “APC” across every thread, regardless of context. While hundreds of thousands of participants are currently engaged in the scheme, he could not be bothered to read the report before barging in to chant APC.

One is left to wonder, has the APC government suddenly diverted funds to mobilise 25,000 graduates, while simultaneously financing two other batches running into the hundreds of thousands? A moment’s reflection, or even a cursory reading, might have spared him the embarrassment of such a poorly thought-out outburst.
