I've just watched the video and not relied on these reports

'This Experience Will Not Repeat Itself', Tinubu Assures Victims Of Jos Killings

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-e4yDIUsmQ

00:00
Please be seated. Eh, you have no light at the airport and I have to fly back within the next 10 minutes. To you leaders, I've had this. To the victim, there is nothing I can give you whether money in billions but console you and promise you that this experience will not repeat itself. I take uh for example Favor Roda. I know the pain. I see how on the video you head on to Ayuba and the pain and agony in your heart. But it is only God. It's only God [clears throat] who can give you joy and comfort. No amount of money can pay all of you back. Yes, as government, we will try our best to comfort you, to walk with you. The best solution is for Jos to be just the one that people like us grew up to know.

02:19
Please have your seat. I salute all of you leaders, but I've had the experience of the past. Why is the past not a source of lesson for us? I've listened to Jang. I've listened to Washington. I've listened to Nacho (omo AI Nacho ke cheesy, you need to always verify things yourself, that's why I left this bomb in the post, don't depend on people to do everything for you, trust but verify). I've listened to the governor. Governor, you and I were elected on a promise of peace and prosperity, not to comfort and create widows and widowers. To bring prosperity as a promise, to bring inclusiveness as a government, to share the hope and aspiration of everyone to lead our youths and if they are represented here, let me give this assurance. I don't want to be here commenurating and consoling.

04:41
I want to be here to establish peace. leaders who have received us, who had accommodated us politically. I brought the symbol of this cap to break the shackle. Shackle of violence, shackle of ignorance, shackle of poverty, shackle of hopelessness. We must break it together. I thank the men and women of the armed forces particularly the police for what they are doing and what they about to do. You must on earth and find the killers. I'm glad I here. I'm glad COAS is here too. Chief of Army Staff. I'm glad the minister of defense is here. Our dear leaders, I have been to Jos, I have enjoyed Jos in those days of peace.

06:30
We've had our political activities here. I'm glad you are still alive. We thank God for you and many of you. Thank you. I used to point to your house where we spend the night where the leaders both the leaders of our politics, where I was active as a young man. You accommodated us. You open your doors for us. Then why do we build a division? Our promise then was progressive development, improve standard of living for our people. Not to bury but to develop. Immediately we return to Abuja. The committee has mentioned you increased the number of leaders including Natawi, the governor and the minister of humanitarian affairs.

08:01
The minister, thank you. Come see me. Take numeric analysis. You are a data person. For the victims, let's see what we can do for their losses. We cannot replace a human beings. But whatever we do to give them minimum comfort, we will. Thank you Bosani the honorable minister for communication is here to give you assurance we are going to install immediately a network of camera >> [applause] >> That will help the law enforcement agencies to identify the troublemakers instantly. [applause] over 5,000 job network Bosun you can use time and give the assurance because the time is flying, if I keep talking, we will miss our way and you don't have accommodation for us>> [applause] [cheering]

Do I have updated comments? Yes. The first and last part of the report is to create a sensational response. This is why I had to go listen myself just in case they were trying to bait rage even though I no send this President. I have no hope in them, renewed or otherwise.

Now to my analysis, Nigerians are sycophants. People are clapping and laughing when others just lost their lives. People are enamored by the presence of the president that they laughed. Now, these may be rented people (the clappers) or supporters but I didn't know why they clapped. It's a sober session. I have observed this pattern when people in offices talk, Nigerians clap. I call it the sycophanticlap. It's eye service and we know about it. What else? The president was in a hurry but the first and last sentence can be used against him. Jos has no accommodation for the President? I beg to differ.

His speech wasn't as bad as it was reported but I still see insensitivity in it. I don't know who his advisers were but I can see other videos of the President in Lagos, which means Lagos was more important for him to be in than Jos. I also remember Bayo Onanuga had released a statement earlier in the day that the president had to abort his trip to Ogun State for this. That one too sounded like Tinubu was doing Plateau a favor by visiting them. Post event analysts will say that he could have said things better. That closing line is not appropriate and we play too much in this country. Someone on the comment section said this was how he promised in a previous incident that never again will this happen but it will still happen again cry

The president was also pointing to his cap as a symbol of breaking the shackle. Omo! I have no comment.

Imagine if the president canceled his other trips to spend time with people of Jos in this period, at least for Good Friday undecided If Jos used to welcome him in the past, what happened to the present?

Those who play politics with everything, hmmm may you not lose your loved ones like the people of Jos did. Then you will be more reasonable with your response and not careless. That laughter at the end was evil to me. Very insensitive of our people. Very very insensitive to those who were there.
what a balanced submission. Thank you

.. there are many countries with 24 hours constant electricity light supply everyday which it was fix by their president ..the president promised their citizens constant electricity light supply and the president addressed and fix the power sector. electricity in their country and they had 24hours constant electricity light supply..is that not a president..why he no choke am...is because those president have the interest of their citizens and people ..but here in Nigeria we do not have leaders that care and have feelings and conscience on what Nigerians are going through.. what we have are leaders that are just after their own selfish interests, just care for themselves and looking for ways to loot and enrich themselves
There are other aspects of life aside electricity, yes its very important because it'll improve the economy and standard of living of the people but there are series of things each country in the world deals with which their president can't solve in a giving period.
That's why governance shoukd be about continuity, America today didn't become what it is because of the work of the current president, it is because of the contribution and efforts of the past leaders since they gain independence July 1776, it is not magic
.
No president you'll vote in Nigeria today that'll magically give you 24 hours electricity in 4yrs or 8yra, how many megawatts are we generating?
One president will do his part and if the succesor continues on that pedestal then we'll get there someday..
Yes corruption has eaten deep into our system, but it didn't start in 2023, our problem starts from the beginning, from inception.

Imagine the useless and heartless president some wicked souls are supporting because of crumbs. Even abacha is not this heartless
The President didn't show much empathy to the People of Plateau State on the recent genocide by terrorists on Palm Sunday. His presence & sudden return from the Airport without going round to assess the situation & sites of the attack is not good for the image of the Presidency. In the modern age, our airports don't have lights in the evening & no special arrangements for made even when a President was coming for an official visit. Nigeria is a failed Nation.

Can you give what you don't have? The airport is owned by federal government, not state. We don't have electricity in lagos as we speak, despite loading our meter with money. Will the airport manager maintain the place on empty pocket or bring his own gen to power the airport that belongs to the FG? You're so shallow minded

About the re-election
QuinQQ:
This election will be final proof to Nigerian masses that they DON'T determine anything. The country and hardship will get much worse BUT Tinubu will still be re-elected in a massive landslide!

That's what makes you people happy. You think by killing innocent nigerians, your failed candidate can win the presidency. E no go work!
That is a poor excuse, for a failed Government.
When a leader fails in his duties, he and his sycophants blame it on the "Opposition". grin grin

Even if it was the opposition that was responsible for the killings (that is an insane assumption, though), is it not the duty of the Leader and his Security Chief to arrest and prosecute such opposition?

Anyway, maybe Turji, Boko Haram, ISWAP, Lakurawa, etc and the Opposition Parties, not PDP, ADC, LP, etc, according to Mr. Mandate.

The system needs to be more effective that's my point. We shouldn't be having these issues in 2026 Nigeria.
