It is with a heart full of gratitude that I announce my resignation as Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment. This decision comes with profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve Nigeria in his administration.

This is not an end but a new beginning. I remain committed to service, to progress, and to building the Nigeria we all deserve.

Thank you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

You're right about her contesting for another elective position, as confirmed, because this period is the deadline PBAT gave for his Ministers to resign if they are seeking other offices with some Ministers haven resigned already.

This period is probably the worst time for any politician to be a Minister. The President has refused to fund Ministries for two years, and Ministers have little to steal from, because it is only overhead release that Ministies get from Government, no capital. Ministers earn less than ₦1,000,000.00 per month.

I think it is plausible for any politician ( Minister) with a sizeable support base to resign and pursue a career in an elective position.
