The precedent that Tinubu is setting by weakening political parties from within mirrors the way Muhammadu Buhari entrenched tribalism and sectionalism, which Tinubu has taken a step further. If this trajectory continues, whoever succeeds him may deepen same weakening of oarties to sustain themselves even more and fully institutionalize it.

For those celebrating this nonsense, know that this goes beyond party politics. Strong institutions are essential to sustaining democracy, and when they are weakened, the overall system can be affected.

Our loyalty should remain with the country and its democratic ideals, rather than with any individual.

joining adc was a big mistake and the problem had been coming , it seems the opposition thought they could just hijack the party without carrying those on ground along . one would have thought that the opposition would have done their homework very well before publicly coming out to declare adc as their platform .
secondly it seems adc was el rufai idea , maybe all these is happening because he isnt around

I will never vote for Tinubu in my life, but the most clueless politician in Nigeria history is Peter Obi. He's not fit to lead a country like Nigeria, if he could not stay in LP to resolve the issue, there's no way he can tackle Nigeria problems. I believe he's regretting ever joining ADC, this is what happens when you don't stand for a particular thing, you will be moved by everything. He has terrible advisers around him.

Not just Obi.. Atiku, Kwankwaso and so on.. these present crop of politicians are SIMPLY LAZY.. they don’t want to sow, invest time and effort to build and maintain political platforms.. they just want readymade parties, positions and tickets

You can see how people like Tinubu, Buhari patiently built parties for decades before becoming presidents.

dont blame apc or tinubu . tinubu was able to hijack adc simply because the opposition created and left a loophole . why was pdp able to hijack apc then ? simply because tinubu and co didnt leave anything to chances . one would have expected opposition figures like atiku dino and co to have seen the picture on the wall about the impending danger . even in kogi , adc is having serious issues there as some of those on ground in adc are having issues with dino .
their best option if ac doesn't work out would have been to move to nnpp but now kwankwanso too has left . if care isn't taken , adc wont even be on the ballot . they need to resolve this issues fast without waiting for el rufai to come out .

There will still be opposition ot Tinubu in 2027, though that opposition will be so weak that its cries will not be heard.

In Nigeria, the founder and primary mover of a party leaves the party. This shows that everyone is seeking power for its sake, not for the development of the country, because there is no belief in any principle.

Mark my words, when Tinubu is done with APC, the party will implode from within, just like the PDP.
