Yes, I have always believed in strong government performance across all levels - local, state and federal. It does not matter if the president is Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Jonathan, Buhari, Tinubu, Atiku, Obi or Amaechi.

Elusive001:
Did you say this when GEJ was there?

So put blame where it ought to be put, the president. He is the C-in-C. The all government security apparati are under him and not the state governments. Even tinubu said so in 2015 or so.

Many have been saying it repeatedly for years. No excuse for federal government failures but a larger share of your focus should be on your state government. These are 36 units of government with enough funds to make some impacts but most of them turn themselves to traditional rulers the moment they hit the governor's lodge.

Face your governors! Achievers aim for the low hanging fruits first.
Una no talk like this during GEJ na now una wake up know say Governors dey. Eight go soon past and he will Tinubu will be mark as the worst President Nigeria ever had even Buhari na saint for were him dey

The federal government is doing well in terms of the macro-economy, but the states need to leverage the increased allocations they are receiving.

While some states are trying, they ought to do more and be innovative in their approach. The federal government under BAT has done a lot for the macro-economy; now, the states need to extend those impacts to their constituencies.

What Nigeria needs is more private innovative industries—it is private innovation, science, and tech that drive countries forward.
Yes the state allocation let say doubled but foreign exchanged Quadrupled so how does it make any sense.

Because the government has floated the naira, it is no longer propped up, fixed, or subsidized.

What Nigerians need to do now is figure out how to earn foreign exchange through services or manufacturing—much like what Dangote is doing. The country must transition into an export-oriented economy to attract more dollars and drive local growth.

This is how it should be.

There is a reason why huge allocations are shared at specific intervals. "Executive" governors are closer to the people, while the local governments that they have colonized are the closest.

Read again. We are not discussing the security structure of Nigeria here.

We criticized Peter Obi during GEJ. We praised Fashola during GEJ. We scrutinized the likes of Alao-Akala, Daniel, Saraki, Okorocha, Akpabio, Fayemi, Uduaghan, Oshiomhole, etc.
