In 1995, I was with Gani in Hotel Presidential. We were defense counsel to Ken Saro-Wiwa and Ogoni leaders. Someone told Gani that the hotel has been leased to Chagoury family. Gilbert Chagoury is actually close to every past Ruler in Nigeria and it was only Obasanjo that didn't give them much breathing space perhaps Baba didn't like their ways and means or that they failed to play ball with Baba.
