Don't confuse yourself here trying to reframe the entire situation!!!

Name calling from someone who has genuinely run out of substance.

Continue to prioritize endurance over accountability.
You still dont get it do you.

You dont know what you want.

You are hell bent on proving someone is wrong and should be dealt with instead of getting a workable solution to the real problem on ground.

Anyone who says you should let go,you begin to fight the person...meanwhile they would have helped in sorting the real problem which is the money you need.

After more than three weeks you are still fighting while the real problem remains unsolved.

I've been on this forum since 2007 at least and have seen all sorts of people. You would easily have gotten way more than you needed from those telling you to let go and forget about the pastor ...but na lie you want to ensure that you get justice.

You think you are the first person to have been promised, believed the promise and abandoned your original plans only to get disappointed with devastating consequences? You think it wont happen again in your dealings with other human beings?

It is a fact of life and you learn your lessons and move on and channel your energies to more productive outcome.

Victimhood, vindictiveness and bitterness are the greatest stallers of progress that I know. Close this chapter of the Pastor and push for success in whatever it is you're doing.

I think there’s a misunderstanding here.

You suggest that people offering advice to let go would have helped financially. With respect, the same people telling me to let go were also calling me entitled, toxic, a comment farmer, etc That is not the profile of people who were about to open their wallets to help me.

My point was not that anyone online was obligated to help me financially. I was simply highlighting that some of the same comments framed as “advice to let go” were accompanied by personal attacks and assumptions about my character, which made them difficult to take as genuine support.

The purpose of my post is to share my experience and its real impact on my health, finances, and wellbeing - not to debate or seek validation from anyone.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I believe I’ve made my position clear.

Anyone who wants to help will help.

I understand your perspective, but speaking about an experience like this is not about victimhood or bitterness.

It’s about acknowledging what happened and the real impact it had, especially when it involves broken trust, threats, and financial consequences.

Moving forward and seeking accountability are not mutually exclusive. I’m focused on rebuilding, but that doesn’t mean ignoring what happened.
Re: My Painful Experience With A Nigerian Pastor’s False Promise & Church's Silence by voiceunheard(op):
Never accept help that comes with insult no matter how broke you are.
Re: My Painful Experience With A Nigerian Pastor’s False Promise & Church's Silence by voiceunheard(op):
I have reported this to the church headquarters since August 2025 and received no meaningful resolution despite a written acknowledgment in January 2026 promising urgent attention.

I have also formally reported this matter to four other organizations (March/April). I respect that these bodies handle many cases and I remain hopeful they will respond. However my financial situation is deteriorating daily and I can no longer wait in silence while the consequences of what was done to me continue to compound.

For transparency and public accountability I am therefore naming the church involved.

Please this thread should be investigated. I think the op is a scammer trying to play a fast one on nairalanders. The op also created a similar thread in the christianity section: https://www.nairaland.com/8622300/painful-experience-nigerian-pastors-false

The OP keeps bumping the thread so that more people can view it and gullible people will fall victim to the scam.

You are sooo insensitive.

Did I ask anyone for money here? So I don't have the right to publish my experience because people like you exist?

You think you are wiser than other people reading this, but you will later regret making any comment here.

Like I told you earlier, you will always come across people who will disappoint you and take you for granted.

Keep laughing yourself to scorn just like the other person. You will soon find yourself in a similar situation and even worse since that is what you have chosen for yourself, so will people mock you and even add to your problem. People like you need to have a similar experience, so that you will know how to talk.

Anything aside the reason I added an email address here, I won't reply. So you are just wasting your time.

Just have it at the back of your mind that you are creating problems for yourself by you making these kinds of comments here. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Why should I listen to your warning when you've refused to acknowledge that the currse given to your from your father is working on you. Now you are complaining of financial problems, you think people here will give you money? Don't go outside and look for work.

Nobody is thinking about you. Nobody cares about you or your problems. Go outside and look for work. Stop looking for free things.

Better find a pastor that will help you beg your dad in the spirit realm and ask for his forgiveness if not, things might not improve at all for you.

Where is he now after all the threats? He is late now and he doesn't have peace where he is. Infact, he is even one of the reasons I was told to forgive people who have offended me.
