Iran's geographical advantage is a double-edged sword. The landmass and mountains allows enemy aircrafts to move around if they fly low enough.
Iran has also lost many long-range radars and their more powerful SAMs are slower to set up and too vulnerable to counter attacks.
For now, they rely on popping out of mountains, firing at aircrafts with light missiles, and hiding again.

What my bloody civilian head thinks is that they should further spread their troops around the country and arm them with manpads. Make them second-guess every inch they move inside Iran

Iran made a big mistake in the beginning of the war. I'm sure they're only starting to realize it now.

As soon as the US killed Khamenei, Iran should have targeted at least 3 leaders of the Gulf States.

If not Saudi Arabia, at least the smaller states like Kuwait and Bahrain or Jordan.

That will send a strong message to others.

It's not too late now, they can still do it.
