There is hardly any Ibo politician today who did not benefit from Abacha's military junta.

I dare say that the politicians that emerged from the SE in 1999 were all Abacha courtiers and contractors.

Many SE so-called billionaires today owe Abacha for their wealth.

Go and check how it was the SE that were the loudest defenders and apologists of the Abacha junta.

This was not only because they were benefiting directly from the junta financially but because they were more happy that a Yoruba man never emerged as the democratically elected civilian govt.

Arthur Nzeribe took out an entire page on several national dailies calling for IBB to shelve his transition program for 5 more years and his reasons were that he did not want the SW to produce the Presidency. Nzeribe, like many Nigerians back then knew Abiola was the favorite and he could not stomach it.

Then there's Daniel Kanu and his Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha movement that remains the most shameless open pandering.

At their main rally in Abuja, all SE politicians you are familiar with since 1999 were present and were interviewed by NTA in which they were shamelessly praising Abacha.

Abacha never showed up in that rally and in a few days time, he was announced dead.

As I said, 99.9% of present day SE politicians were in one way or the other benefiting from Abacha's govt. So it isn't surprising to hear Giringori who also benefied via an appointment he secured through Nzeribe's recommendation, to be singing praises to Abacha.

After all, he made his money in that govt.

Only people that don't know these things take them seriously. They were the ones that sabotaged Abiola because he was Yoruba. It was only in their region that Abiola lost (that's why I find it hilarious when they start foooooling themselves with "we vote for competence", when their ancestors voted Tofa over Abiola). I don't like Tinubu, but I enjoy their total meltdown over the fact that a Yoruba man is ruling them. So entertaining to me.

And those that claimed that Abcsha was a tyrant support and appreciate a disaster called TINUBU and are being fed like paupers they have been made to be.

Abacha 'God Bless his soul' was a true leader that didn't broker Nonsense. Those insulting his legacy are the same people that are in Government now as unmitigated failures.

Under Abacha insurgency wasnt an issue. He was under scantions but the economy was stable. All the shout of Abacha stove and all the propaganda against him has been proven to be managed by the same people that went to OJOTA as Democrats and arrived Aso Rock as vagabond.

If you insult Abacha but TINUBU is your definition of good leadership then you are a certified failure.

Simple.

I support Abiola losing..because Abiola was a couo plotter and a certified criminal.

Forget all your NOISE of him being a democrat...everyone knows better. Haven't ypu NOTICED that Obasanjo and Tinubu dont regard him again.

Same TINUBU worked against renaming Unilag to MKO ABIOLA University....and you want to rant?

Same Abiols offspring stated that same Elders from his region collected bribes from Abacha...

Not IGBO.. cheesy

Also Igbos didn't support Buhari even after he came with two IGBO VP candidates and they were proved right because Buhari was a disaster.

Shame on you...and cry Blood grin

The second Great Ibo exodus was when Abacha was announced dead.

Can you tell us why your people fled the SW and Lagos in particular following the announcement of Abacha's death.

Abiola is recognized today courtesy of a Presidential Order by late Buhari, as one of Nigeria's former Presidents.

There is nothing you can do to change this facts.

Another deluge of NADECO revisionist stories?
Abacha was by far a better president and manager of the Nigerian economy than your ethnic lord Tinubu. It is not a statement of hate. It is the fact. Maybe you were not born by then, so you depend on village stories to make up your mind...
This is not even debatable.
Just read up on Abachas PTF. That organisation alone achieved much more than anything Tinubu has done.

Again, almost all NADECO chieftains worked for the same Abacha you like to deride.
Bola Ige, Babatope, Braithwaite oo, all of them were in bed with Abacha.

Your own traditional rulers were even the ones singing Abacha's praises after every visit to the villa. Go and read about that.

Arthur Nzeribe was already spreading dollars from his helicopter as far back as 1982 and 83. Investigate. So there is no way you can accuse him of being made by abacha. Abacha was never in his league before Buharis coup of Dec1983.
Again, the secretary of ABN, the organisation that initiated the court proceedings that led to the annulment of June 12, is one Abimbola Davies! He was the one who went to court to file the case.
Again do your checks..
Abimbola is not an igbo name...

Once again, Yoruba traditional rulers and political heads were in support of Abacha , until he decided to cut them off..
That is the truth..

Let's be guided, plus...

Abiola lost the SE but with a small margin. A large number of Igbos voted for him. There were also Igbos in the NADECO and there were Igbos that made money from Abacha

Exactly as no Yoruba voted Obi right ? You were wailing from both sides of your mouth during Abiola but today you want the entire Yorubas on earth to support your Pando criminal Peter obi.

Continue deluding your soul.

Majority of former NADECO members were Yorubas, while majority of those in support of Abacha's dictatorship from the South were Igbos.
Not to shame anyone but the records are there . Yorubas have always been the ones with large heart, fougth with all they had for democracy to return to Nigeria.

Abacha is better than SW president by all standards. Tinubu is the worst thing to happen to Nigeria since independence
Someone that even Buhari is better. He has failed in every sector .Nigerians have never been this hungry and poor. The middle class is almost gone. The corruption attributed to Abacha is a joke to what is happening in nigeria right now.SW president must end up in prison and all nigeria stolen wealth recovered after 2027

Abacha is far better than present SW president aka Yoruba president. He is the devil himself and has stollen far more than any past nigeria president using borrowing.
He will definitely end like Venezuela president

My Igbo people will counter you and school you like you be nursery two pupil. It is no longer 1966 when the yorubas control the media , it is 2026 for God's sake and the igbos are the champions in education now.
