Pearl1910:A typical Nigerian will tell you what you want to hear so you can bring out money, don't blame him CNG saves you profit but that's not the way to go. What we should be agitating for is fair pricing across all apps. Here are some cons of CNG 1. In some cars, cng messes with the electrical and brain box functions. E.g, gear goes to limp mode, car goes off on gas. Etc 2. You change plug faster using CNG just keep money down 3. CNG spare parts are expensive just incase you need to get parts replaced 4. There is a noticeable lag in the vehicles acceleration 5. You still have to buy fuel to enable you start your car as the engine should be started on fuel to preserve engine life 6. Most CNG technician will persuade you, oh convert your car, it's the next sweet thing after fried rice, but when the car starts misbehaving, they will blame your engine and leave you to carry your cross. Most guys that are dekitting, na some of these challenges dem dey face Normally CNG conversion no suppose pass 250k to 300k but trust naija people, they will use every opportunity they get to extort their fellow man Mind you, your car wil consume the same amount of gas just like it will on fuel, the only difference is that gas is cheaper so you may think your car consumes less gas. If I remember more, I go drop |

TUBLEZ:It is quite unfortunate that Nigeria has reached a point where individuals are compelled to dispose of valuable assets in order to acquire lower-grade alternatives, simply to remain financially afloat. Do not buy a V6, I repeat do not buy a V6. While CNG is presently being embraced as a cost-saving alternative, it is important to approach this trend with caution. There is no guarantee that CNG will remain affordable or sustainable in the long term. A potential increase in its price, or unforeseen operational challenges, could place users in difficult situations. Additionally, the current market trend shows a shift away from high-engine vehicles, with many buyers opting for smaller, more fuel-efficient cars. This could make it challenging to resell vehicles with larger engines, thereby tying down capital for extended periods. What you should be doing is look for other vehicle brands other than the popular Toyota and honda with 1.0 to 1.5litre engine to buy and not more than 2m. I will never support anyone to carry 5m and invest in this hustle! Never! |

Why all these talk against cng. Haa. Omo if u will use it use it if not dont. Ain't we all business people. On a bizness sense I'll buy V6 DC and kit it with cng all for 6m. Bro if I drive 5months and I never recover money make I know wetin go cause am . Isn't that good ROI. U still have car and can use it for another 2 years. People talking like as if once u install cng ur car depreciates . People have been using this thing for 2 years straight. Why all these anger. If you don't want it pls leave it. 9 in 10 people that did it are blessing God everyday. The complaints are mostly from guys that did it initially not new installations but honestly any driver with sense will install it and cash out. Unless the driver can't afford it sha iz ok but pls let's allow this discussion to rest |

dav1002:It depends on family responsibility and quality of the car. If within the 6 months, there are less down times, 3 million is achievable at 500k saving a month. It's very easy to net 30k daily after fuel and commission. 30x6=180k 180x4=720k. So saving 500k monthly is easy with less family responsibility. You can target 1 million to 1.5 million in the month of December. So in conclusion, 3 million is achievable in 6 months. |

dav1002:What if it a tokunbo car the person wants to just close eye and buy still under 5m ? Because most of this cars you mentioned must have been mismanaged by the Nigerian owner since its a small day to day car . |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jamie90(m): 3:09pm On Apr 07 |
dav1002:I use CNG and I am not a serious driver, but I can confidently say you don’t know what you are saying. There’s no way I work 6 days a week consistently for 6 months and won’t make 6 million. In fact, if I extrapolate from my weekly earnings, I will make more. It will take a little more than 6 months because of car issues that will cause downtime. If na straight fire down, e too sure. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dav1002(m): 3:56pm On Apr 07 |
Jamie90:That's why you need to factor in these downtime when doing your calculations The car will need rest, you too will need rest, unplanned expense can pop up You no be Jacky You can't make 6m in 6months I say again! |
