As for your question, Hezbollah joined the war for Palestine, and by extension, Lebanon and not for Iran. Let us remember that this war is an extension of the Israel-Gaza war. Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah confirmed Hezbollah got involved in that war due to Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank.

For context, Hezbollah joined the Gaza war on October 8, 2023, a day after the Hamas offensive, and focused on bombing Israeli positions in Sheeba farms, which is Lebanese territory occupied by Israel.

Iran also got directly got involved in the Gaza war after multiple Israel’s excesses including the Israeli bombing of the Iranian embassy in Syria and the Israeli assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
