I posted something similar sometime last year as regards Airtel's so called free YouTube data it was removed and I was equally banned.

Airtel is very notorious for network instability, MTN is still okay here. We need stable and reliable networks. Gosh!!!

I have simulated the scenarios when the war started. I discovered the marine cable we rely on does not pass thorugh that region, so we will be least affected. The same cannot be said for East Africa.

As for diesel, you are on point. A lot of substations may need to be shut down when oil reaches $200 because they will be running at a loss. Apart from that...nothing else should impact us that way.

Yes they are. Diesel is expensive. Not all Base stations are currently powered. Networks have to prioritise which facility gets diesel and which doesn't. But this isn't the main concern now.

If the war in the middle east keeps heating up, the marine cable most of the world relies on for internet, Nigeria inclusive might be targeted. Russia has already practiced carrying out such an attack. If that cable gets cut, we will all be f u cked in ways we never thought possible.

So what is your letter writing skill like? Start practicing. You might need it soon.

I wouldn't assume a role I wouldn't function effectively. There should be a standard that I use to measure and when they are not getting up to that standard, I should be able to sanction them. Are you saying they have immunity not to be sanctioned?

I'm saying not anything about immunity. But I can tell you that simply fining them for poor service won't solve any problem. Before such fines are imposed, there's room for hearing. Hearings that reveal the rot of our infrastructure and stories like ... Boko Haram blew up so and so mast. Our generator was stolen from so and so base station. Power supply went from 18 hrs a day to 0 hrs and our generator overheated, etc. etc. NCC knows our terrain, so it too has to understand. Sorry, it's what it is.

Have to off and on my network several times these days. MTN is generally worst here in Osun State unless you're not in a densely populated area.
Funny enough so-called NCC are also teaming up with them to scam us.

I thought I was alone on this. Thanks for highlighting this. Please it should be escalated, that the authorities concerned, can do something about it. It's very annoying have your data,but you can neither browse with it, nor do stuff.
