Plateau Government Further Relaxes Curfew In Jos North by Rep9jaCom(op): 11:26pm On Apr 07
The Plateau State Government has further relaxed the curfew earlier imposed on Jos North Local Government Area following the return of relative peace after the Angwan Rukuba attacks, Rep9ja reports.

The adjustment was made in consultation with security agencies.

The new curfew hours will take effect from Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Under the new directive, residents are allowed to move freely from 6am to 6pm daily.

The government stated that the dusk-to-dawn curfew from 6pm to 6am remains in force. Citizens were urged to carry out their lawful activities within the relaxed hours. They were also advised to strictly observe the curfew period.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang directed all security agencies to enforce the curfew. The directive is aimed at ensuring the protection of lives and property. It is also intended to restore calm in affected areas. Residents were advised to remain indoors during curfew hours.

They were further urged to cooperate with security agencies. The government also called on the public to provide useful information that would support efforts to maintain peace and order.

The directive was contained in a press statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, on April 7, 2026.

We need more than curfew to protect the lives and properties of our people being attacked and killed daily. We need a lasting solution to wipe out these blood sucking demons

Instead of government to find permanent solutions to the issue in Plateau they keep finding temporary, in the next 1 month this will pass and in some time to come the same repetition. We are not ready yet, no arrest or anything. No social media control and regulations. No repercussions for threats.

Remove everything like iron condemn to make sure you set up local vigilantes with guns Bros bikes and logistics.
Let the plateau state and benue state government organize emergency number and provide like two or three helicopters with good fire pass to come out any attack on people's village

And again let the governor of benue plateau and Karina start massive rearing of cows let them use security votes to give subsidized agricultural empowerment they will encourage natives to go into massive cartoon production after which government can buy the mature cows from the citizens and then butcher process store and transport it to the sound when this is been done fulanis who are hiding on the umbrella from the natives and thereby start leaving naturally.

Plateau state and meaning benue state needs to learn from ekiti an ondo's recent move to curb banditry.

Remove everything like iron condemn ,this is the pretence they use to survey localitie.

make sure you set up local vigilantes with guns Bros bikes and logistics.
Let the plateau state and benue state government organize emergency number and provide like two or three helicopters with good fire power to combat insurgency and take out any attack on people's village

Register all Bikers with biometric s and address linked to their NIN and Bvn.

Let the government also contract out the process of watching each each village from satellite imagery using technology to spot bandit movement (especially at night ) in which state security networks and vigilante be alerted to combat them before they attack.

Also let the governor of benue plateau and Kaduna start massive rearing of cows let, them use security votes to give subsidized agricultural empowerment .
They will encourage natives to go into massive cattle production after which government can buy the matured cows from the citizens , butcher process ,store and transport it to the south. when this is been done, fulanis who are hiding on the umbrella of rearing cows will start seeing rig competition and thereby start leaving naturally.

Maybe if the berom people leave people alone the madness will stop.

They want to own the state and dominate everyone, especially since the governor ditched their god father.

While everyone else is busy with bandits and kidnappers, these rabble-rousers have been fomenting trouble since 2001.
