Two things are involved. Either they are on illegal duty. Or they are not even cops in the first instance. |

Ameboperoo:Look at the comments... Nigerians are just so easy to deceive and manipulate. They only think on the surface. Especially if they already have a tainted opinion about the subject... in this case Nigerian police. Just tell them anything and they are good to go! |

Sonnobax15:Those fleeing officers seen scampering from the scene were guilty of unapproved revenue collection with intent to violate the sharing formula. This is a very serious offence as all officers know only too well, especially when the allocation for the DPO back at the station, is being diverted. Please let them round up the usual suspects and bring them to book, after leaving no stone unturned during the investigation. |

They're illegal. There's no way 2 personnel mount checkpoint. They're always more than two with operational vehicle. |
| Re: Police Officers Flee During Stop-And-Search After Noticing Another Officer by SmartyPants(m): 9:20am On Apr 08 |
Most likely these are legitimate officers doing what the police call illegal duty; i.e no one sent them to that location to do any such thing. |
