He was shot by Boko Haram and the government detained him for failing to report that he was shot by terrorists.

He gets shot by Bokoharam, he's thrown into jail for not reporting Bokoharam's activities after 10 years, they're still talking about him going to properly tend to his wounds.
They claim he pled guilty to one of the four count charges...could this be under police torture/ duress? I don't trust the Nigerian police system of bringing people to justice...if a good lawyer can volunteer to look into his case ...he might qualify for a retrial.
In a sane society where the legal system works, this guy would sue the judiciary, the correctional system, the police etc.. Nonsense!!!

They didn't know that many things can cause him not giving out the information on time, despite being shot in his leg.
