Israel has largely avoided talking about the group but has been speaking up against them lately, especially with the ongoing war with Iran. Earlier this year, the Israeli ambassador accused the Iranian government of spreading terrorism in Nigeria using IMN. This is likely in response to IMN's repeated protests in support of Iran and Palestine. But the 2015/16 clampdown was largely blamed on the Saudis and not Israel.

The country for don turn upside down. The clampdown was too brutal. I am even surprised the Shiites didn't pick up arms against the state after the onslaught. Buhari and Tukur Buratai repeated the same with IPOB then and IPOB promptly took up arms.

Many Shiites actually believe the government clampdown is being influenced by the Saudi government, and lately, Israel. No one knows for sure though.
