Hasn't Tony pulled in his wrestler from appearing in another promotions before? Yes, he has? Where was all this fury then?

Tony pulled Ricky from the show because of what Effie said. That's heat.

President cuckold is doing it to please the fed. That man is spineless.

With all these folks rumored to be called up. Expect a lot of talent being released post mania.

no, you are. A light weight and a heavyweight can't go strength for strength with eachother equally, which is what Cody does. I rest my case.

Yeah bro, go and tell the veteran, Chris Jericho, who has had multiple gimmicks has throughout his career that none of them have ever worked. Tell him that his character, Chris Jericho, is an absolute failure and it's all because of gimmicks.
no, I'll tell him that the gimmicks (especially towards the end of his career) limited and ruined his character to some extent. Or do you remember wizard and learning tree Jericho? Same can be said for these last years of Seth Rollins' character.

Cody Rhodes is not a lightweight, though. So you're still wrong

He didn't talk about Jericho's list. It was about his return last week.
Like it or not Y2J returning after almost a year out is still big news in wrestling media.

He said he's no longer watching Dynamite anymore unless something newsworthy happens.
You can stop watching something yet talk about it. It's same thing you do with WWE.

I don't watch UFC but have talked about the upcoming Ronda match.
I'm sure he's going to talk about the list and break his promise, again (that's if he hasn't already done that).

Were Jeff or Rey heavyweights when they won the world heavy weight title?

they had to change the name for Rey when we won, that I recall. It's not even a semantics issue, CoolUsername understands my point but just likes dragging things. Batista and Big Show are both heavyweights, but I don't expect Batista to go head-on fighting him with equal strength due to their size difference.

You're talking as if Cody doesn't go through absurd punishment in his matches and fight underneath. It's not a back and forth power movefest bout.
How many power moves does Cody even use in his matches?

Even Batista, a powerhouse wrestler wouldn't be able to hit the Powerbomb on Big show. He'd use the spinebuster and spear but not after going through punishment.

I guess you can just refuse to engage the point, then claim later that you win the argument?

Batista, at his biggest, was billed at 290. The Big Show, at his smallest was billed at 383. That is a 93-lb difference. Now compare that to Cody Rhodes, who is billed at 222 and Drew McIntyre and John Cena who are 275 and 251, respectively. The difference is a lot smaller and the disadvantage is less pronounced.

And let's not forget that Kurt Angle at 220 Angle Slammed The Big Show. So why weren't you complaining then?

bro, 20lbs is something, not to talk if 30 to 50lbs. This difference is important. When I see Cody wrestling with the big guys, I expect to see him trying to outsmart them, play on their weaknesses, make use of his speed, and use some techniques and moves in his arsenal to try to gain advantages then he can start going on the offensive. But what you see is him looking them in the face and starts wrestling them with equal strength - no smart moves, no special techniques, nothing - just a regular heavyweight against his fellow heavyweight and I think it's ridiculous.
Kurt Angle didn't doesn't just lift Show, he uses tactics to get an advantage to weaken him before going for a slam.

everyone goes through that. It's more of a babyface thing than a weight class thing.

you think before I suddenly come out to talk I haven't seen a match of his that inspired it? Background or no background, the point remains.
You don't take me seriously? Well guess what - gimmicks and storylines still don't work.

I'm saying your point is irrelevant in this case. IfRandy and Cena went at, Cena would still fight from underneath regardless.

When they say Meltzer has influenced you. You go defensive about am. You think technique is by doing 50 moves and flips in a match? I'd even argue this fast paced, adrenaline style you love so much doesn't fare well for the wrestler's wellbeing in the long run.

Collar and elbow tie ups, chainwrestling and mat based offence are techniques. He still has suplexes, slams, springboard moves and suicide dives to spice it up .

Wetin else you dey find again?

You argue about telling a story in the ring but at the end of the day all you wanna see is flips.

Cena uses the AA, a powermove as finisher.
The CrossRhodes isn't a powermove.

At the end of the day Cody still fights underneath to make a comeback after the heel controls a large portion of the match, right? So what's your gripe?

Even in UFC and MMA heavyweights division there are large disparities and it doesn't change anything for them. You're grasping straws here G

the RKO isn't a power move either, but I get your point. That said I also said he uses some lightweight moves sometimes, it's just his general style and presentation that's off.
And how does he fight back - by facing the bigger guys head-on.

how many times does he do them? To me he wrestles more like a brawler then a technician. And again, it's not about flips. Guerrero didn't do flips, same with Benoit, Bryan and the rest, but they don't wrestle like Cody.

this is apples to oranges. They don't even wrestle inter-weight in MMA, how is this a good point?
