Well-said. One thing I have observed here in Nigeria is that the most prominent Sunni scholars are hesitant to talk about the war. I'm not sure why that is the case but I suspect it may be because the financial aid that comes from Saudi Arabia goes directly to the senior scholars. Those that draw the courage to criticize Iran always end up getting dragged by regular Arewa muslims who are overwhelmingly pro-Iran.

That said, the vast majority of Sunnis, especially the sufis within and outside Nigeria support Iran
