Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has secured a 30 percent share of leadership positions in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano, following a power-sharing agreement reached among key political factions in the state.

The deal was finalized at a high-level meeting held at Kwankwaso’s residence on Miller Road, where stakeholders gathered to harmonize interests and chart a unified structure for the party on Friday night.

The party’s Acting Publicity Secretary, Comrade Sa’id Bello, told Reporters in Kano that the arrangement was designed to guide the emergence of party executives from the ward level to the state level.

Comrade Sa’id Bello confirmed that under the agreement, “the Kwankwasiyya bloc aligned with Senator Kwankwaso will control 30 percent of party leadership positions, while the existing ADC structure headed by Atiku loyalist, Al Amin Little retains 40 percent. The faction loyal to Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is also allocated 30 percent.”

Bello noted that the formula was carefully adopted to ensure inclusiveness and balance among the various interests that recently converged under the ADC platform.

The meeting drew participation from prominent figures, including Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam, Dr. Akilu Indabawa, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and Senator Rufa’i Sani Hanga.

Friday night meeting was presided over by Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, who was mandated by the national leadership of the ADC to oversee the process and ensure a smooth integration of all factions.

Insider told this Newspaper that the outcome signals a strategic consolidation of forces within the ADC in Kano.

I wouldn't want to believe this, kwankwaso is too greedy to collect a meager 30%. He controls more than that with the incumbent, so why will he settle for less with the opposition, isn't this why he couldn't join the APC?

He has no choice. That’s his last benchmark. Even if he’s offered lesser he would take it or go and beg APC.

The parting of the governor was a big blow to his structure and he has to save himself from being weakened. He has to keep moving his structures and get them busy else!!!

Kwakwanso getting just 30% of ADC structure in Kano is huge for the north? How please? From controlling almost all the political structure in Kano to gifting him 30% of the structure of ADC in Kano. That’s a massive downgrade.

No one hates tinubu. You guys always judge others from the look of your own shadows. Not everyone is a hater. Tinubu performed some woefully. And I know PO is far better than Tinubu. Even Atiku will be better than tinubu let alone PO and the rest.

You say Kwankwaso is weakened? Well, he's being in those shoes before when Ganduje as sitting Gov fell out with him. Then, the fight was far more attricious than the cold war we have now. He's weathered bigger storms when he outfought Buharis APC. This Tinubus APC is mincemeat to him.

This kind of stupid talk is annoying. We have tried Tinubu and seen how useless he is. And you are merely ASSUMING that "this set of people" would be the same thing as Tinubu.

That is just an assumption, so we have to try them to know. We cannot reinforce failure by sticking to Tinubu that is a confirmed bad market. If the new squad that Kwankwaso is part of ends up being as bad as Tinubu, then the Nigerian people would kick them out and try new people, and on and on. Is that not what democracy is all about? Do you expect Nigerians to worship Tinubu in good or bad as if he is their only option?
