In the lead up to a crucial game today, Arteta decides to show his team their mistakes on the big screen as his own way of motivating them! Alaye when will you show them your own mistakes on that same big screen? Shouldn’t you be correcting those things during training? And many of you expected the players not to play scared? He killed whatever was left of their confidence with that nonsense but many go dey celebrate rubbish! All those hesitation to pass the ball or the decision to pass back, “make e no spoil for my hand” na from where? Arteta is a mid table coach! |

daveP:It seems Guardiola has given everyone else the hack to beat us. First, them pin us at our own halves because our attack is useless by pressing us high. They know our transition from midfield is non existent, so they try to dominate us. Basically, they know we are too cautious and as such they just take a go at us without fear. It is what it is. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7Jq3A0OJ7g Watch this Pedri video to see what a truly press resistant midfielder looks like These are the kind of moves that barca academy boys do for fun. I was genuinely excited about the Zubimendi signing. I thought he would be the second coming of the technically gifted Santi Cazorla. A player known for his quick feet, close control, and ability to wriggle out of pressure. Instead, it feels like we signed an average side-pass and back-pass merchant with limited technical ability to be truly press-resistant. |

Fkforyou:There was one one-two Tavanier did with scott from. The back till the our box. Kai, Zubi and White could not wrestle the ball away from these two. It took Saliba to recover the ball with White acting like no be him dey play RB😭😂😂 One sweet counter, Rice hesitated to give the ball to Trossard. Arteta shouted at him to pass it. He did and that one lose ball and was running like Tyrion Lannister and it led to cK las las after a scare at the back. If Olise dey this team, Arteta go inhibit that guy. Fear and Caution is no winger's strength. Martinelli is the boldest winger at the club as it is right now, hilarious as it seems. |

Now, he just plays as if nothing Dey at stake. Martinelli go use energy take play nonsense. If no be champions league, him no Dey play with sense. Omo! Who get us like this. |

Dis man go just dey talk like pure Aristocratic whereas ne werey kai in midfield doesn't work, he always plays better when he leaves that midfield and drift to cf. Simply drop Gyokeres and play him or drop him and sub him in for Gyokeres later. Martinelli had only 7 touches today, na only back passes all them midfield sabi. Raya had over 33 back passes to him and over 60 touches. Zubimendi always playing each match when we have norgaard. Even Eze sef na akamu. We were playing so defensive like dis is a 2 legged fixture where we won the first leg 2:0. Man city winning Chelsea tomorrow and winning us next sunday and it's all gone again. I still have faith shaa, alas little faith. In as much as our players need to sit up abi stand up sef, dis man needs to fuccking jump up. Wtf!!!. Always being our own achilis heels.

Zubimendi is mentally down, first season and Arteta wan over work am. At some point Rice,Skelly, Gabi and Madueke was talking to him to lift his confidence and fron his body language you can see that he's tired. These guys need a big mental push, abi dem no get team psychologist ?. All of them just playing as washed as ever. Nonsense and ingredients. |

daveP:Na, for a while, he has avoided making critical and strong statements like this because he doesn’t want to divide the locker room or distract the team. In the past he had been careful with his position even when we lose in the EPL. |

Gucciboy:If Man City win all their remaining games, they'll win the league. I remember when I wrote here that the league was far from done and some Arsenal fans were arguing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by patrickmuf(m): 11:24pm On Apr 11 |
It's amusing to see some of you admit that Arsenal's gameplay rarely creates chances during most of a match, relying instead on set pieces for scoring opportunities. When I pointed this out here, some of you argued. |

I just de see the mumu reason Gyokeres gave for today's failure. "Pitch was too dry". Chineke!!!. Na striker wey suppose give us league dey talk dis kind rubbish. Our home pitch ooo, no be away pitch. Your home pitch was too dry that the away team was so comfortable to beat you in that dry pitch. Yeye dey smell. |

Oga Roland17, If Arteta eventually wins the EPL and/or UCL, would your opinion about him change? Would you want him to remain next season? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 8:23am On Apr 12 |
bolu96:At this stage if he eventually wins the league it's not his doing again, if he wins the ucl I will credit him alot but you see this epl the on and off is too much for him to get any credit And he is looking like another average manager i will advise he resign after this season |

https://x.com/i/status/2042961068243251699 You watched this guy are concluded Zubi is a better player IN HIS 1ST SEASON? The inference of that means whetever he's coming from, he was a hotter cake and therefore he is delivering than partey. See the confidence on the ball and with duels. See the flair. See the confidence of teammates in his abilities on and off the ball. And you'll come and conclude Zubi is better than partey? Tufiakwa!! Chaiii. Some arsenal fans ehn. Rival fans even know the difference. Yet na within us we dey tok that kine tok?! 😭😭😭 As howwwwwwww This very display is missing from our buildup. It is yet to be replaced. But he's not as good as Zubi? 😂😂😂😂😂 I dey fear many of you. You wan wait till the floppery is as big as Frimpong or Squillaci before you gree? Oh!! We go meet for front |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 1:31pm On Apr 12 |
bolu96:Absolutely not. From the start of the season, I have always maintained that he must win the EPL AND the UCL to get a reprieve from me. Winning one or the other wouldn’t cut it for me, especially the EPL. I have never seen him as a great coach or tactician, never wanted him as our coach, because I saw this from the start. After 7 years, he hasn’t proven me wrong. Winning the EPL won’t even prove me wrong because we crawling and begging for the finish line at this point. |

daveP:It is total disrespect to compare him with Partey. He is more in the mould of Arteta during his playing days with us. Cautious with the ball, constantly putting us under pressure by giving sideways and backward passes. The No. 6 role in a team is not something to joke with, especially for teams that want to build from the back. We don't need you to drive the ball forward after a spin turn like Kanté, Pedri, and the likes. We just need you to do the basics like Busquets. A drop of the shoulder to beat the press, a spin turn, and a progressive pass into the final third where possible. Or at least sideways passes if a progressive pass isn't on. Back passes should be the last resort and must not become the norm. Rice should have been in a more advanced role, helping the attack, but because our No. 6 can't stand alone, he has to drop deep to assist him with defensive duties like tackling, interceptions, and recoveries. Odegaard is also suffering from Zubimendi’s inability to progress the ball forward. The energy he is expending dropping too deep to receive the ball would be far better served in the final third. Once a team gets it wrong in such a delicate position that requires calm under pressure, the whole team will constantly be under pressure. |
