Could This Be The Reason Why Bola Fears Peter Obi? Think About It! by Bigkoko(op): 8:51am On Apr 11
The Fear of the Clean Slate: Why the System Trembles at Obi

In the high-stakes game of Nigerian power, people often ask: Why is the establishment, led by Bola, so viscerally afraid of Obi? On the surface, it’s about votes. But in the deeper, darker corridors of the "Shadow Power," it’s about the functional independence of the EFCC. The Logic of the Un-compromised. The math is simple, yet terrifying to the old guard:

If the Head is not stealing, he has no reason to blunt the sword of the law. Obi will not defend any employee caught stealing State resources. Infact, his appointees for EFCC will do wonders more than Ribadu....the most efficient anti-graft boss so far in Nigeria.

If the First Family isn't siphoning contracts, the President has no motive to protect a thieving Minister or a rogue Director. Bruhn you heard me right. Okute na aka-gum. He will never ask you to inflat contract for his purpose, and trust me, he will never interfere with the process too, for your sake! However, we are yet to see if the so-called CURSE OF ASO ROCK will affect him too! Na so Dem hype Buhari, until he stepped him, and next we heard, bruhn na sicky sicky...... Peter Obi must stay away from the UK, because na there all plot dey hatch.

This is the "New Nigeria" that Obi harps on—a nation where the agencies (EFCC, ICPC, Military, Police) are finally allowed to function without a "call from the Villa" telling them which files to burn. The fear isn't just that Obi might win; it’s that his victory would turn the state’s investigative machinery into a mirror. And for those with decades of "unexplained wealth" and "front-man" banking, that mirror is a death sentence.

The Raw Materials of Justice
Could it be that the "New Nigeria" is literally banked on the prosecution of the old? There is a growing sentiment that for Nigeria to be POssible, it must first be Accountable. Is the present government accountable? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

The vision is clear: using the likes of Amupitan and Bola as the "raw materials" for a judicial reset. Yes, most of the developed nations on earth jails their corrupt past leaders and officials. South Korea, Israel, France, USA, etc You do anyhow, you see anyhow. You no get two head!

One for the alleged decades of systemic corruption....from unexplained wealth, after a brief stint dealing drugs in the US.

The other for the brazen attempt to subvert the collective will of a nation through institutional capture....Nigerians are currently roasting and dragging his Ronunized ball on X.

A Leader Without a "Cult"
Look at the optics: Bola stands on a platform supported by the machinery of the state, yet he remains a man without a natural, "cult-like" following. Outside of the paid "2k gents" on Nairaland and the professional sycophants, where is the organic love? Nowhere.

Contrast this with the "Obidient" movement—an organic, self-funded wildfire that doesn't need a "front-man" banker to buy its loyalty.

The Final Count
The signs are all there. A system that must cheat to win is a system that knows it cannot survive a fair fight. If the agencies are allowed to work, the "Jagaban" myth evaporates. Never mind he lost in his adopted home state Lagos, his alleged home State Osun and the place he is supposed to lead from, FCT. The "New Nigeria" isn't just a slogan; it’s a courtroom where the past finally meets its consequence.

As we say in the Rwanda Diary: The ink of justice may be slow, but it never forgets a signature.

Time will tell.

The recent, biased investigations which targets opposition leaders chiefly El Rufai, the credible competitor to Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso as the person to fill Buhari shoes, and Malami, while leaving those who defer to the ruling party is something that I believe in my opinion will not be forgotten easily!

I do no't claim to like El Rufai, but carting him away to prison while still mourning his late mum is simply heartless, and trust, the former gov of Kaduna to also do same when in power! grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

A functional country is what Nigeria's political elites are afraid of. WWhat they want is business as usual: stealing as much as they want because "nothing will happen", crashed healthcare so they keep up with medical tourism in France, UK, US and India, a collapsed power so that they keep making appropriation and looting them and more.

Peter Obi is a threat to their vision of a compromised and weak country where only them live large at the expense of the people.

To cleanse Nigeria, saints will not come down from heaven to do it! You’ll still have to work with the same Nigerians….the same Nigerians presently in politics, government, business, religion, on the streets, and the same Nigerians from all ethnicities and regions! Unless of course you’ve identified an elite group of saints waiting in the wings to take over politics and governance once the present thieving lot have been dislodged from power? You play with the cards you’ve been dealt!

We are no longer asking Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fix the problems he inherited.

He obviously CAN'T!

We are asking him to take responsibility for the massive problems he has created in less than three years—and to do the honourable thing: RESIGN!!!!

Nigeria is too big for him to govern!

Orji uzor kalu is in Apc
Dave Umahi is in Apc
Rochas okorocha is in Apc

Guess what, these men can’t pull any vote in SE you know why ?

Igbos support credibility and integrity, hardly you see igbos leave an honest man to support a thief

The only man that will give obi a run for his money is Governor Alex Otti…. He might win obi, under probability….

If you understand these, you’ll see why igbos don’t support a Tulumbu government…. Not out of hatred but integrity, performance and credibility… Tulumbu lack everything…

If only Apc will give Osinbanjo the ticket…. That’s the only problem that can give obi problem in a free and fair elections.

I’d have said Adewole Adebayo (if that’s the correct order of his name…can’t remember now)! He’s smart, detribalised and doesn’t come with any corruption/godfatherism baggage!

Exactly but they won’t field him because corruption is the politics they play… governance is supposed to be for the benefit of everyone irrespective of tribe or party

Obidients are always bereft of thinking faculty.

It is in their myopic hallucinations that an elephant fears a goat.
That's how warped their reasoning is.
A sitting president whose profile is rising at a geometric scale will fear a flippant inconsequential aspirant who continues to lose political value at a high rate.
A president whose party cleared all the bye-elections in Rivers, Kaduna and Kano states and all but one of the six chairmanship elections in the FCT will fear one whose party did not even a single councellorship seat.
And Obi won this territory in 2023 and campaigned rigorously in the FCT only to labour in vain.
