"Dying" his efcc case is enough compensation for defection. Tinubu knows giving him senatorial ticket is over ambition. If the presidency valued him as much from the beginning, they would have gotten him on board the Anioma state creation process but the Federal government has continued to support the project despite being on collision course with okowa's political relevance.

There is no double speak. Akpabio has supported Anioma state since inception and has stated so openly in various occasions. The presidency is in support of it too. Remi Tinubu from warri reportedly wants warri as new Delta capital.

Okowa is living on sheriff's gratitude unlike wike who has clout over fubara and is effectively using it. Therefore Okowa has nothing to offer Tinubu and he is showing that. You may call it double speak on the part of Akpabio, but be reminded that Benjamin Kalu only last week suggested a fusing of Anim in Anambra/Imo with Anioma, to make Animoma state, with Asaba as the capital.

What was the business of Okowa in contesting as the Vice President, a move that added more petrol to the fire that consumed PDP in 2023? If he contested again Ken Pela/LP in 2023, he would have been easily swept away. The tide was seriously against Okowa/PDP in the 2023 elections in Delta state.

Ned Nwoko made the move to APC, as one opportunity to realize the creation of Delta state. Okowa’s reputation among the citizens in in tatters, especially the civil servants. If he secures the APC ticket, how can he defeat Ken Pela and the ADC this time?
