Peter Obi is a business man and understands how it works. The man that stole the mandate doesn't understand nor know how it works. He just acted on what Obi said without understanding. He killed the Naira. What is the rationale behind blaming Obi. Let the truth be said, TINUBU HAS FAILED AND DOESN'T DESERVE SECOND TERM. Little wonder they are afraid of Obi. Mr Peter Obi is the greatest nightmare to Tinubu and his cohorts.
Who answers yes and no to a simple question??

Don't mind the ragamuffins posting this rubbish instead of blaming their PRINCIPAL who rushed to copy and paste without knowing that there's a "method of implementation".

He just stole the removal and went to sleep 😱😭

You watched this clip where Peter Obi was asked if he will removed subsidy by Rufai and he answered "Yes n No" even when Rufai asked him a second time n you came here to type what you wrote below ?!

You need help more than the failure Peter Obi you are packaging up n down.

Estello:

Peter Obi, during his 2023 presidential campaign, strongly advocated for removing the fuel subsidy, calling it "organized crime". He consistently promised to eliminate it immediately if elected.

He consistently maintained that the subsidy regime was a massive drain on resources and a form of corruption, rather than a benefit to the poor.

I have no problem with him removing subsidy

But at least channel the resources to let say electricity that will benefit all Nigerians not sharing the money to governors and himself.

He removed subsidy to fight the corruption in that sector. Millions of Nigerians are now suffering from the sins of few individuals.
Then you now take same money and hand it over to another set of corrupt individuals (governors)
Does that even make any sense to anybody?
This is same thing we all have been saying

The government lacks foresight and adequate planning. This was the reason most Nigerians were against subsidy removal because they were sure the monies gotten would not be used to improve their lives

Tulumbu took from the masses and gave to the governors so they they would encourage his second term ambition

Your points are quite valid and I really must commend your intellectually however,I like to equally make some inferences to make my points equally tenable.

There are installmental options for owning cng kits just like you can buy phones and solar equipments in installments, thats accessibility and the fact that cbg is an option, its definitely a cushion for high fuel prices.

If CNG isn't widespread, it's cause many Nigerians haven't explored that option yet and many consider it too complicated, thats not tinubu's fault but one thing is certain that thise who have got the CNG are really smiling now with pms prices going up.

If subsidy wasn't removed DRL wouldn't have been incentivised to sell to the local market.....the refineries we claim we have are deadbeat and we got scammed for those refineries,we got the worst technology in the market when we were building them thats why they remain unserviceable sucking up billions of naira......dangote is our immediate go to saviour and we should be glad its here.....things would have been really worse without it.

Nigerians for who we are, there isn't any short cut to subsidy removal than to remove it completely......you disincentivise corruption in that space, almighty america hasn't been able to stop narcotics from entering their country despite all the technology and financial muscle, how can you get nigerian govt to fight powerful cartels in that space.
Thank you for ur very civil response.

I commend you for it.
We can have divergent views on national issues without resorting to mud-sliding and cyber bullying

Now to very valid point you raised

Instalment payment would be a viable option if the purchasing power of Nigerians was anything to write home about.

The kits are "expensive" because of our weak naira not forgetting that our minimum wage is a merge 77k.

Subsidy removal is one thing that would affect every part of the economy so I would have expected the president to have a human face in its adaptation.

What would I have done if I were the president.

Start by fighting corruption in subsidy payment. Make an example of 3 or 4 prominent people involved with subsidy fraud and give it publicity esp those fraudulent people who are part of the tribe and inner cycle of the president to emphasize there are no sacred cows.

Show u have fangs and u can use them. I guarantee you people would confirm.

(Take a example of obeying traffic lights in an urban area. Imagine that a house of rep member is sent to prison for breaking a traffic stop, imagine the shock waves that would send. Nigerians can follow rules but we do not enforce them)

After fighting corruption ( of course we know it cannot be eliminated) , we would start removing the subsidy payment piecemeal.

We have start by paying 75 percent subsidy in the first 6 months,

I would inform Nigerians of the monies accured so far and I would invest that into setting up cng stations every 20 kilometers radius with emphasis in the rural and semi urban areas ( this is because the major drivers of our economy is still informal sectors and these area were they reside)

While doing this, in collaboration with ministry of information I would inform Nigerians of the need to move away from petrol because of availability of cng stations all over the country, once people see that there is a secondary alternative, the inertia to port to cng would reduce.

Then I would set up cng manufacturing kits in the 6 geopolitical regions from the 25 percent of funds savings from subsidy removal with installation hubs set up around reputable petrol stations.

Checks and balances would be put in place to ensure the Nigerian factor does not pop up. ( Bf now you have shown corrupt Nigerian that the government can bite so people would be scared of doing any monkey business with the CNG money)

Also get many cng buses and keke spread around the rural and semi urban regions and see how people would rush to use it

This is just one way safety nets, but then country's leadership is too spoiled to fight corruption that carrying this out is almost an impossible task

Shouldn't we be discussing tinubu achievement?
Why Obi every time?

Imagine someone asking me to list Obi achievement as a governor 😂

You have a President that his ruling is affecting everyone but I should be talking about Obi because Obi is the President
Sorry I’m not in a mood for your argument today.. try some other time 🤘

I'm not an Obi fan but APC people are really daft. No responsible human would want fuel subsidy to continue but the problem is HOW it should be removed and how the proceeds are to be used to benefit the masses.

In the case of emilokan, no thought was put into it and the proceeds s of subsidy removal has only benefited the politicians instead of the masses
But what would you have done differently as a person, Reserves were depleted and the economy was at a brink of collapse as at 2023.. rebuilding the economy takes time..PBAT is a very intelligent and innovative man..ideally, he knows there will definitely be people like you everywhere that will criticize.. Firstly, the resources on ground can't match that population numbers.. We are definitely on the right track going by what the economy is saying now.. Nigeria is beginning to attract foreign investors again... Do your research, the truth is there

Peter Obi is not a sincere politician from all ramifications. His IQ is too low to even rule over a local government in Nigeria. I have listened to Obi interview countless times, he is not intelligent at all. No Employer can recruit employee that fails woefully. He has never answered any questions intelligently since he desperately willing to govern the country
At least you even expect him to answer questions, and intelligently too.

No one expects anything , Intelligent or not, from Tinubu actually. That's why no one was surprised during balablu saga

He is still 1000% percent better than Tinubu. He is better than Tinubu who avoids Interviews.

Ask him the meaning of subsidy unprepared and see stameri.

The day he was asked on Arise TV what he will do differently if he's president really exposed him as empty. Nothing to offer.
Which interviews has Tinubu attended?

Who was the mandate stolen from? Atiku, Obí, Nwosu or Sowore?

Also, why didn't they owner of the mandate claim or prove it was stolen in court.

How will you end it and how will you channel the saved funds?

You guys just type jargons .

The FAAC will ensure the saved funds get divided among the three executive branches, Federal, State and LGs which is the case now.

Both States and LGAs get more than the FG , so why are you not asking your governors what they are doing with the windfall of cash that is streaming into their respective state coffers?

In the case of Abia, the governor has hijacked LG funds under an illegal consolidated accounts which he spends as he likes while effectively denying LGs their funds.

You guys will leave the monumental fraud and heist that is being perpertuated by your governors and be dragging with the FG.
