Stop blaming only the political class. I am sure the Supreme Leader is aware of it. There is no way the 2015 deal was approved without the Supreme Leader’s consent. If you understand Iran well, you will know that any foreign affairs decision must be approved by the Supreme Leader, and the IRGC answers only to him, not the political leadership.

This is subjective criticism, because the 2015 nuclear deal would not have been signed without the Supreme Leader’s approval.
If there is going to be a deal between Iran and the U.S., it will have to be approved by the Supreme Leader. Once it is approved, the IRGC will have to follow, since it answers only to him, and foreign policy decisions cannot be made without his approval.

So stop the subjective criticism. This may be a decision of Iran’s leadership hierarchy, not just the political class.
