The Strait of Hormuz was never closed .... passage through the straight was restricted by Iran. Russia ...China ...India ...Pakistan....countries which support Israel and the US in attacks on Iran were not allowed passage or had to pay a toll. If the US couldn't get it opened ...what chances would the EU have? Trump's blockade and obliteration of Irans ports are due to take effect today .... according to Trump's mouth.

He ignored their advice and chose to please Israel. He didnt seek the advice of other NATO menbers. Now, he has plunged the world into this mess, and he now he remembers Europe to clear up his mess.

Even the Gulf States did not want this war. They refused to allow their countries to be used as take off points for attacks on Iran. This could have all veen avoided if the brat in the US listened to his military advisors.
