The question here sir, isn't really about political parties or militant groups, but Humanity and Morality!!! Any political party or militant group can be in control of any region at any particular point in time!!! Hamas for instance started off as a militant group before they evolved into a political party and then took over Gaza against Fatah in 2006, but that doesn't mean that the majority of Gazans support Hamas today!!! Even if they did back in 2006, most of them don't do so anymore cus they've seen the true colours of Hamas!!! So Hamas is not Gaza, and Gaza is not Hamas just like Boko Haram is not Northern Nigeria and Northen Nigeria is not Boko Haram!!! Hamas even kills Gazans that opposes them, and coerce the others to publicly support them or face death!!! So my logic still stands!!! Let's say that Boko Haram evolves into a political party just like Hamas did, then they coerce the majority of Northern Nigerians to vote for them in local elections or face death and destruction like Hamas did to Gazans in 2006, then they take control of Northern Nigeria like Hamas took control of Gaza, then they attack Cameroon from their base in Northern Nigeria like Hamas attacked lsrael on October 7, So in retaliation for the attack, Cameroon should start bombing all the innocent babies and women in Northern Nigeria Abi?
