This is the Grammy for Grammy winners.
I'm surprised Fela could win this award before top American music legends.
Very few people won the award twice for example, Michael Jackson who won as a member of Jackson 5 and won as a solo Artist.
Kidos to the Abami Eda. Kudos to my Ekiti sister also Sade Adu.
Just imagine how Nigeria will be without the yorubas. I'm sure this unholy marriage will end once these greedy old school guys are gone. We don't belong with these people.

Nice one, but Wizkid is still greater than Fela though.

Wizkid single-handedly brought the genre to the global stage. It was under Wizkid that Afrobeats became a global genre and people like Chris Brown, Beyonce, and eventually, the grammys started noticing Nigeria.

The problem is, most people don't really understand why Fela is really respected internationally. It is not only for his political views in his songs, it is more for HIS Music...the instruments he plays on his songs. It took me years to understand this.
