toyin03:Good evening ma, please can you walk me through the process of applying? I am so confused, I don't even know how and where to start |

Soleye24:Okay, go online and search for Germany consular service, navigate to visa and select opportunity card, then follow the prompts. But if you can take your time to read the first 20 pgs, you should be just fine. |

Looks like it is compulsory to get an affidavit for age again cos I dont understand this people. I thought that was only in the case that your birth certificate has issues. See messages he got. Dear Applicant, In addition to the uploaded document (which by the way is an error free Birth Certificate) kindly upload an affidavit of Declaration of Age deposed by parent (father or mother) or the head of the family if both parents are deceased AND copy of an identity document showing the signature of the person making the affidavit. upload the updated document (Birth certificate, affidavit and ID of the declarant) . Does anyone know why the above message was sent? |

Hey guys, I’m in the preliminary stage. I was asked to upload health insurance and also a letter of motivation as part of my correction, please can someone guide me on getting them especially those who have passed this stage? I applied August last year btw. Thanks to all the wonderful people here 🙌🏽 |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Tifay: 12:05am On Apr 18 |
Tomkito:I just looked at the website again. Seems the requirement is for all - either born before Dec 1992 or after. I remember someone posting about digital affidavit earlier. Does that apply here? |

Missmarola:Are you saying E-affidavit is better and would be accepted. Asking this because what if the parents are not in the country to do the physical affidavit. Would the E-affidavit be accepted for the eariler question I asked where an affidavit of Declaration of Age deposed by parent (father or mother) was requested |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by JIGGERNAPPY(m): 4:15am On Apr 18 |
Tifay:E-affidavit is the best. It has a barcode for easy verification. It has been proven to be without doubts, your parents don't need to be in same country physically. Just get their international passport or Voter's card. It requires an ID with the persons signature. So far so good, only Voter's card and international ID meets the requirement. Please, make sure the signature on the affidavit and the one of the ID tallies. |

JIGGERNAPPY:Thanks. Whilst it makes sense for verification purposes. I just need confirmation from anyone that he/she has used it before and the consulate/embassy was ok with it - only the e-affidavit. MissMarola who mentioned talked about going there and uploading/submitting/presenting both the E-affidavit and Physical one Also I was checking online and noticed that there is also an e-affidavit system for Lagos - https://lagoscomis.lagosjudiciary.gov.ng/account.html Has anyone used it before or is the recommended one https://portal.fhc.gov.ng/portal/. Any lawyer in the house. Is there any real difference? |

Please, I have some questions on this e-affidavit for Attestation of age. 1. Since I read on this page that it’s the parent that will do the affidavit and also submit ID , does that mean that when creating account on the portal , I will have to put my mum’s details and not mine ? 2. What will be the title of the affidavit ? 3. Because when I looked through the portal , the deponent name says “Name as it should appear on affidavit “ . So I’m just confused . If anybody has gone through the e-affidavit for the digital Attestation of age, please help me . Thank you . |

For the E-affidavit Who’s passport photo, identity card and signature is needed , ( Me or my parents? ) Pls help I’m a little confused |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 5:45am On Apr 19 |
Omonene031:What the German embassy accepts is a parent as the deponent, not you as the deponent (i.e. applicant). Meaning: it's like your mom or dad applying for your attestation of age on your behalf. The pictures to be uploaded would be that of you and either of your parents. If you're using your dad, you would need to upload your photo and dad's passport photo, also with his signature, make payment and submit. Once it is approved, you can print it online and upload it on the portal. |

cyberbro:Im struggling to see the reason though, why this is asked for in addition to birth certificates? They need the parent/deponent to also attest and confirm the Age? Why ?. Nigeria runs a very communal system so even if the applicant did lie or misrepresent their age on the birth certificate. Chances are they can likely make the parent do the affidavit. Do they know how easy it is to do affidavits in the country? Those boys are ever present at the gate and would do it easily for change. I remember a mandatory requirement back then when we entered university where every student had to do an affidavit swearing against cultism and all we had to do was go there and those boys were all over us offering to do it for us without stress as long as we paid them. In my own opinion, a Valid Birth Certificate is sufficient but maybe they know better and I'm missing something. |

Tifay:LOL boya you should direct your question to the embassy, tell them your opinion or protest and refuse to do it. 🕺🏽💃🏽😂 To correct the misconception though, it doesn't apply to everyone. If you were born before December 13th 1992, yes you have to do it, but those born after that date are not required to do it provided they got their NPC birth certificate before the age of 18. |

| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Tifay: 8:22am On Apr 20 |
cyberbro:I was just trying the understand the reasoning, seeing as you may have more information, thats why I asked. Also, The bolded is wrong. It is for both. You can check and confirm yourself

| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 8:32am On Apr 20 |
Tifay:I totally understand Tifay, nothing serious 😉 And you're wrong about your claims. Read it well again, it's clearly written there that those born after Dec 13, 1992 with their NPC birth certificate don't need it. I think you're mistaking the 2nd part (OTHERWISE) of that text and getting it mixed up. That's for those who DIDN'T have their NPC birth certificate BEFORE THE AGE OF 18. I CLEARLY WROTE THIS UP THERE IN MY COMMENT. |
