Guy, you didn't include the fees as additional information for those who want quality education... Is it very expensive? undecided
What's the fees like compared to other private schools?
Exactly why I don't take these things seriously. I wrote clearly that it is a public/government school and so many people have written that is completely free, yet these people keep coming to write that it is for the rich, it is private, how can a common man's child attend, etc.

Do you think that they should be taken seriously?

Have you seen Lagos Obidient resident complaining about Tinubu's government? They are all enjoying Lagos. The ones complaining are the south eastern residents.

quote author=Lithiumite post=139125532]All those obidients always saying tinubu is the reason for their hunger should cone see what state govts can do to ameliorate the hunger they are going through and always cry about......providing quality affordable education and health care falls within the purview of state govts......instead of playing hate politics, they should ask their state govs what they are doing with their allocations.

Fuel and USD subsidy has been removed and further compounded by the ME crisis leading to high cost of living,a family that cant afford private schools for tbeir children can apply to standard public schools like this and still get quality education for their children and wards, which will definitely be cheaper compared to the private schools, this will free up disposable income for such families to use for other things while they will be confident the govt will provide quality education......its not tinubu's job to build elemenrmtary and secondary schools for your children, its the responsibility of your state govs......Tinubu is taking care of the children if the masses seeking tertiary education with NELFUND......"if they cant see what we are doing we give them glasses" the jagaban borgu.[/quote]

Now you have realized how unintelligent you guys sound most time🤣🤣
Let's even assume he did it in Lagos
Why is he not doing it as President of Nigeria?
Keep assuming. He's doing it as President of Nigeria. Like he said, go get glasses. If you're old enough, it was similar in Lagos when he started. His common name was Oju yobo, something having to do with suffering until your eyes are bulging and about dropping. His reelection was another war.

So u mean people were getting killed in Lagos and kidnapped on a daily basis when he was governor of Lagos
Wawu😂.
Anyways u are right. Mile 2 to mile 12 was no go area even as early as 7pm
U will be robbed
Oshodi was another Borno then.
Tinubu even placed a big signboard in oshodi indicating that road is a federal road.
It took fashola and Ambode to restore the glory of Lagos
But somehow the praise was given to The NADECO fraudster that was the worst governor as at then
God help u.
Obi achievement when he becomes President in 2027 will never be given to the NADECO fraud. U no longer control the media to drive that narratives

delirium
Exactly how u guys are.
Most governors have chosen their successors since 1999
U don't see them take the glory of those successors. Or start allocating the achievement of those successors to themselves
Only fraudsters like the NADECO fraud is still taking the glory of his successors 20yrs after🤣🤣
Nor be delirium be that.
And the fact that ozuors like u can't even think.
Meanwhile, he did nothing as governor except over taxing and then looting it. That one nor reach am, he started accumulating debts upon debts through borrowing. He was borrowing and borrowing until Obasenjo then President put a stop to it.
During sallah and Ramadan, he will be sharing rice and hampers 🤣🤣🤣
That is why there is nothing he does now that surprise me cos he has always been clueless in governance but smart in stealing and propagandas

At least you tried to patch up an abysmal performance in 8 yrs.......🤣🤣
1. No road, no school, no hospital, zero infrastructure.
2. Oriental Petroleum in Anambra is doing what really....petrol or gas station.
3. Orange Drugs, a private company, imports drugs from India which the Onitsha boys copies to make fake medicines 💊
4. Banks or bank branches in Anambra na Obi's achievement.

Una no get shame.

I no get time for your time. Vote your candidate make i vote mine. If you are not happy with the outcome, go to court. 😁

NB, wait for ADC primary, another round of wailings will ensue.....

OredoPikin:
I tot we all agreed he did nothing 🤣
So where is the brewery coming From?😂
Well
He didn't even build the brewery
He only created an environment that attracted the brewery to the state.
Yes
Same way the brewery came,
Innoson vehicle manufacturing plant also came under him.
Others like;
Orient petroleum
Orange drugs limited
Krisoral group
Juhel pharmaceutical
Chisoral group
Echolon group.
Many banks.
Just to name a few.
Also came same way the brewery came under him.

Like I said, he didn't build any of them. He just built the biggest industrial layout in the whole of South East till date (harbor industrial layout in Onitsha)
That was what attracted those companies including SABMILLER, maker of the Hero beer, trophy, grand lager, grand castle stout, beta and grand malt etc.

But we have already agreed he did nothing
So let's keep it at that 😂😂
Ozuor
search on Google. Harbor industrial layout in Onitsha or simply ask Google, the biggest industrial layout in the whole of South East.
Even with this information i just passed to you now, I know u will still jump on another topic to push this same lies. Lies is you guys trademark and Nigerians have already know.
Nobody takes u guys serious again 😂
Like in 2026, you think u will push lies and everyone will just accept it as if we are still in the 60s or 80s or era of limited information.
you guys are still living in the past sha and it's okay. We will help u live in the past😁
I repeat
Obi did nothing as governor for 8yrs. let's keep it that way and hope it stick 😏😏

I am not a keyboard warrior or online voter. So I no get that much time to be yarning epistle. Google the $16 billion withdrawal for power project under OBJ. You will get the real story and be better educated.

Tell us a little bit about your candidates track record in Anambra for 8 years aside from hero brewery.....😁

anonimi:
Obasanjo did not seize Lagos state's allocation for 4 years. He only seized the LGA portion due to Tinubu and his AG Osinbajo's attempt to smuggle additional local government areas into the 1999 constitution, which other states reversed.

What has Tinubu done with the 100 times increase in revenue to N4.2 trillion since 1999 if Lagos has less than 5% schools owned by government and people are drinking shitty water huh

Meanwhile there is no evidence to substantiate the allegation of $16 billion spent by Obasanjo on power. If there was, he would have been probed, prosecuted and convicted by subsequent administrations, especially corruption fighting APC since 2015.

Would you know how much APC has spent for the past 11 years to procure darkness, since they are borrowing more than PDP despite removing subsidy, thereby making petrol expensive, to save trillions of Naira and billions of dollars respectively in 2016 and 2023?

Brought back Memories of Wesley vs AirForce Comprehensive competition finals...organized by a private educational center.

They came with AC luxury bus, dressed up in suit and ties...we came with public transport paid by us..

Chemistry- Tied
Physics - we led by one question
Biology- they won by one question
Math - Tied...then they missed one question and we won the bonus. We had one question left...if we miss it and they get the bonus...it goes to sudden death. We picked a question..and ESC campus said one wuruwuru thing...and they gave us the hardest question as last one. What is Tan 15 degrees...you have 30 - 60 seconds. For this question, you will first get a quadratic expression then solve to get sqrt 2 - 1.

Amazingly, I had practiced this question in Further Math. I almost jumped out of my chair. That is how we won o. Full British A Level Course and N5000 split into 2. This was 27yrs ago.

Never underestimate your opponents. Some of these awards gave me the opportunity to travel abroad on scholarship..Now, I am paying it forward with my NGO, IDAGBA Empowerment Foundation.

Vetland School has been trending again due to their very good performance in a debate competition that was organised by a radio station.

The school is owned by the Lagos State Government (it's a public school) and it was upgraded in 2022.

Re: Video Of The Interior Of Vetland School, A Government School by Flamengo1: 6:05pm On Apr 17
Vetland has always been a top notch sec school.

Could still remember back then in 1997 while in ss 2, some of us was driven in our school bus straight to st finbarrs near unilag for a school invitational, the experience was quite refreshing.

Still has fond memos of our days back then, back of our school has train track for moving trains passing to their destination, this could be seen from 2nd floor of our classes.

The 90s in vetland was an era of its own,and it was different strokes for different folks, each clique was unique: some boyz rolled dice, some played b ball, some volley ball, some football, some off to allen water packs to chill after school, while some was to vibe with rhythm that could wow kenny ogungbe or D1,and some were all about deals to strike, while some were married to their books.

Wow! Impressive. So it's not only Tolu Complex.

Great improvement in Lagos public schools from the 2 shift system of the 70s to the Jakande schools and now this. It's been a great move no doubt. Kudos to Gov. BOS who has built solidly on the foundations laid by his predecessors. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I asked chat GPT to draw up a comparison between this present PBAT's led government and the previous ones below is the response I got you're free to do so too

Bola Ahmed Tinubu could be considered one of Nigeria’s best presidents (from a development standpoint), you have to focus on structural reforms, macroeconomic stabilization, and long-term capacity building—then compare those with what past leaders achieved or failed to do.

Below is a robust pro-Tinubu argument, grounded in measurable developments and contrasted with predecessors.

1. Bold Structural Reforms (Unmatched Since 1999)
Tinubu’s edge:
Fuel subsidy removal (a decades-long drain on public finances)

Unification of exchange rates (ending multiple FX windows)

👉 These were widely seen as politically dangerous but economically necessary.

Freed trillions of naira for development spending
The Guardian Nigeria
Prevented a looming fiscal crisis and debt spiral
Reuters
Compared to predecessors:
Muhammadu Buhari largely retained subsidies, worsening fiscal pressure.
Olusegun Obasanjo implemented reforms—but avoided politically explosive ones like subsidy removal at scale.

👉 Argument: Tinubu has taken the toughest structural decisions of any democratic-era president.

2. Strong Revenue Growth & Fiscal Discipline
Tinubu’s achievements:
Non-oil revenue exceeded ₦20 trillion (record level)
Premium Times Nigeria
Monthly government allocations to states increased significantly (over 60%)
Thisdaylive
Debt service-to-revenue ratio dropped from ~97% to below 50%
The Guardian Nigeria
Fiscal deficit reduced from 5.4% to ~3% of GDP
Premium Times Nigeria
Compared to predecessors:
Buhari era: Almost all revenue went into debt servicing
Earlier governments: Heavy reliance on oil, weak tax systems

👉 Argument: Tinubu is rebuilding Nigeria’s fiscal foundation, something previous administrations struggled to achieve sustainably.

3. Economic Growth & Stability Indicators
Under Tinubu:
GDP growth reached ~4%+ in 2025 (fastest in years)
Premium Times Nigeria
Q2 2025 growth: 4.23% (highest in 4 years)
The Guardian Nigeria
Trade surplus surged significantly
Thisdaylive
External reserves increased and investor confidence improved
The Economic Times
World Bank projections:
Nigeria expected to grow ~4.2% by 2026, supported by reforms
Reuters
Compared to predecessors:
Buhari: Low growth + recession periods
Goodluck Jonathan: Moderate growth but structurally fragile

👉 Argument: Tinubu is shifting Nigeria from consumption-driven to reform-driven growth.
4. Massive Increase in Government Revenue & Capacity
Tinubu:
Government revenue doubled in some sectors
Nairametrics
FAAC allocations surged, empowering states to:
Pay salaries
Invest in infrastructure
State House Abuja
Compared to predecessors:

States were often broke and dependent on bailouts

👉 Argument: Tinubu has strengthened federal and state capacity simultaneously.
5. External Sector & Investment Improvements
Tinubu:
Cleared $10 billion FX backlog
The Economic Times
Foreign reserves rose significantly
Foreign Direct Investment increased sharply
ICRC
Compared to predecessors:
Nigeria struggled with:
FX shortages
Capital flight
Investor distrust

👉 Argument: Tinubu restored investor confidence and liquidity in the system.

6. Diversification Away from Oil
Tinubu:
Non-oil exports increased to ~48% of total exports
The Guardian Nigeria
Manufacturing exports rose sharply
Record non-oil tax revenue
Compared to predecessors:

Nigeria remained oil-dependent for decades

👉 Argument: Tinubu is pushing Nigeria toward a more diversified, resilient economy.
7. Long-Term Infrastructure & Digital Push
Tinubu:
Expansion of digital infrastructure (fiber optics, tech growth)
ICRC
Redirected subsidy savings into:
Infrastructure
Health
Education
The Guardian Nigeria
Compared to predecessors:
Infrastructure investment often limited by fiscal leakages (subsidies, corruption)

👉 Argument: Tinubu is reallocating wasteful spending into productive assets.

8. Courage to Implement Painful but Necessary Policies
This is perhaps the strongest argument.
Tinubu implemented reforms that:
Others avoided for political survival
Economists had recommended for over 20 years

👉 Even critics agree:

These policies caused short-term hardship
But may prevent long-term economic collapse
Reuters
Final Comparative Verdict
Why a strong case can be made:
Compared to:
Muhammadu Buhari → cautious, low-growth, subsidy-heavy
Goodluck Jonathan → growth without deep reforms
Olusegun Obasanjo → reformist, but less aggressive on subsidies

👉 Tinubu stands out for:

Depth of reforms
Speed of implementation
Fiscal restructuring
Economic rebalancing
Bottom Line (Pro-Tinubu Argument)
If you define “best president” by:
Structural economic reforms
Fiscal discipline
Long-term national repositioning.

👉 Then a strong argument can be made that Tinubu is among the most transformational presidents Nigeria has had—even if the short-term pain is significant.
