It is demeaning to ask a married woman to kneel down to serve a punishment.

If your wife is too proud to submit to her boss's tautelage, corrections, punishments, then What is she doing there? No apprentise is bigger than punishment irregardless of age. You should have considered her age before making her enroll into such. When you are learning a trade, you learn other things along side, like character, good attitude etc, and if the boss felt that is the best way to inculcate that in her, then so be it.

Couldn't have been said any better. It's eye opening and insightful actually. The mentality people have. Whatever happened to two becoming one. My own wife kneel down keh? She won't even kneel down in the first place. And anybody that tries that will have a criminal charge hung upon their head. Heaven go really fall. People look at my wife funny and I'm already pissed not to talk of this level of humiliation.

If kneeling down as a punishment is good for any apprentice, it is good for all apprentices, including married ones.

If kneeling down as a punishment is bad for married apprentices, it is equally bad for unmarried apprentices.

I have seen a fashion designer shop where apprentice married women are asked to kneel down by their Mistress who is their madam,; and they do so. And guess what? The married women in question are older in age than their madam. One particular married apprentice is wealthier than the madam. She drives to the shop in her car, something her madam doesn't have. 😎
