COMMUNIQUÉ OF CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS OF BINANI ADC FACTION, ON THE COLLAPSE OF INTERNAL DEMOCRACY AND WAY FORWARD

Issued at the meeting held on 18th April, 2026, at the residence of Hon. Mijiyewa Umaru Kugama.

We, the undersigned critical stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, drawn from the three Senatorial Zones, convened to review the disturbing developments arising from the recently conducted party congresses.

After exhaustive deliberations, we unequivocally declare that the actions of the party leadership at both state and national levels have destroyed internal democracy, undermined the rule of law, and rendered the party structure in Adamawa State illegitimate and unacceptable.

FINDINGS: The stakeholders noted with grave concern that;

The congresses conducted under the leadership of Ishaya Bauka (Rtd) were fundamentally flawed, manipulated, and imposed against the will of the majority of party members.

Valid court judgments and subsisting injunctions were deliberately ignored, setting a dangerous precedent of lawlessness within the party.

The party leadership engaged in systematic exclusion, imposition, and intimidation of genuine stakeholders and aspirants.

The party has consequently lost moral legitimacy and can no longer serve as a credible platform for democratic participation in Adamawa State.

Resolutions (Hardline Position)
In view of the above, and in the overriding interest of justice, political survival, and the people of Adamawa State, we unanimously resolve as follows:

Total Loss of Confidence
We pass a vote of no confidence on the ADC leadership at both the State and National levels for their complicity in the collapse of internal democracy.

Immediate and Collective Resignation:

We hereby announce our immediate and irreversible resignation en masse from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State.

Rejection of All Congress Outcomes:

We categorically reject the outcomes of the recently conducted congresses and declare them null, void, and of no consequence.

Mass Political Realignment;

We resolve to immediately align with a more credible and democratic political platform that guarantees fairness, justice, and respect for the rule of law.

Leadership Mandate;

We unanimously mandate Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani to lead stakeholders in determining and transitioning into a viable political platform for effective participation in the 2027 general elections, particularly the Governorship race in Adamawa State.

Coordinated Defection Structure
A structured and coordinated movement of stakeholders and supporters across Polling Units, Wards, LGAs, and the State will commence immediately to ensure a seamless transition.

Mass Mobilization and Reorganization;

We shall embark on aggressive grassroots mobilization, political education, and structural rebuilding under the new political platform to ensure electoral victory.

Conclusion;

The ADC, by its actions, has abdicated its responsibility as a democratic institution in Adamawa State. We refuse to be part of a system that thrives on injustice, impunity, and illegality.

This decision marks the beginning of a new political direction anchored on credibility, inclusiveness, and true democratic ideals.

Atiku really goofed on this one. For him to have allowed this woman who was this close to emerging as the governor in 2023 to slip off his finger doesn’t speak well of him.

Like Binani like Peter Obi. Two desperadoes who don’t understand how to play politics. They don’t understand loyalty, timing and patience in politics. They jump around every election cycle just the way prostitutes jump from one man to another.

APC gave Binani the platform to become a Senator and then contest for governor. In fact, when the contest for the APC governorship ticket was becoming very toxic between him and Ribadu, it was Tinubu who stepped in to prevail on Ribadu to backdown. Still, that woman went to support Atiku in the general election. Now, she has lost out completely because even in the Atiku camp, they can’t trust her. That’s the price for being a betrayal.

ATIKU is not really good at bringing people together,same way he lost the G5 governors to APC.Does he even knows this is his last chance, he needs to bring everyone on board,it's risky to lose a strong politician like binani to his opponent.

What will it take the ADC new leadership headed by Atiku to work with people they met in the party? Or other people that can deliver.. they have lost important key members to hold on to people whose name have never been heard before.

This is the 2023 pattern. Where he totally rejected working with Wike etal and chooses a Ayu that can't deliver any polling unit over seasoned politicians. He's doing all these with confidence because he knows he ain't going nowhere and that he can always blame Tinubu and his new found lovers AKA Obidients won't even give it a thought as long as it will end Yoruba presidency that they cannot leave with.

You'll work with Atiku, Amaechi, Kwakwanso, and everybody you have said bad things against. Just so that you can stop a Yoruba man at the poll.

You are going to switch from data boys to, stolen mandate and then all eyes on the judiciary. Keep making mistakes and keep down playing the consequences of your actions. You'll still come tomorrow to blame Tinubu for ADC crisis in Adamawa but I will be here God's willing to remind you how you downplayed Binani's defection.

She was rigged out because those Northern men couldn't stomach a woman leading them, she won under APC but was denied the seat. Decamped to ADC in 2025 only to be sent out of ADC in 2026 by Atiku whom would have benefited the most from her structures and support groups. She's moving all of these people to a new party. I think Atiku is paranoid. He sees everybody has a mole and only trust a small circle. Those are the people taking all positions and sending others out. .I hope you don't come back to blame Tinubu for this but I can bet you will.

Aregbe is one of millions of people working for Tinubu and Baba has left Aregbe for y'all. You can have him. And Tinubu/Aregbe relationship benefited Aregbe than Tinubu. So. It's his lost that he's on the other side now. He lost relevance since he stopped aligning with Tinubu.
