As a former Lagos State House of Assembly Member for three terms, serving as the Deputy Speaker, Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government Area for two terms, currently, serving as a Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, Lagos State Council of Elders confirmed my appointment as a new member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the apex decision-making body in the state, which is headed by our revered leader, Hon. Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, a prominent elder and statesman.

The Governance Advisory Council is a structure of the APC in Lagos. It is made up of former governors, deputy governors, ministers and major politicians in the Lagos APC. Its role is to advise the governor on political developments in the state.

The members of the GAC have contested many elections and solved many political problems. They use their wealth of experience to advise the governor on political issues so that he can focus on the work of administering Lagos.

Every state should have a replica of this GAC. It will make it too difficult for any governor to derail or pursue selfish agenda because there is already a blueprint for governance and development.

I think only Lagos operate with GAC. Other state Ms don't have such governance body. I stand to be corrected though. It's seriously working for them. Kudos to Hon Tajudeen Olusi and his team.

When that happens, all these GAC and other non elected cabals that pose as so called "apex-decision making body in the state " will become defunct.

It's only a matter of time and how bad the people of the state wants a change from the current political arrangement that hardly favors the people but anointed office holders.

Bolanle Ambode attended an anointing service as Lagos First Lady.

She reportedly felt disrespected for not given special treatment/priority by the presiding chaplain, Venerable Femi Taiwo (e.g., not called first for anointing or similar protocol issue).

She stormed out. The chaplain and his family were allegedly evicted from their residence, and he was sacked within 24 hours, reportedly on the orders of the governor's office or governing council.

Don't let us spread lies like AMINDA and Givedemwotowoto.

Ambode destroyed every working structure he met on ground that provided employment.

He created vision scape a coy which never had the capacity to manage lagos waste system and destroyed lawma, which is yet to recover from that useless decision.
