🇺🇸🇪🇸 Donald Trump took to Truth Social to mock Spain's economy — while apparently unaware that Spain has been outgrowing the United States for two consecutive years.

Spain's economy grew 2.8% in 2025, outpacing the U.S. at 2.1% for the full year—with Q4 annualized growth at 1.4% (0.7% quarter-over-quarter).

In 2024, Spain's economy grew 3.2% to the U.S.'s 2.8%.

The foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of the Sudan, the State of Libya, the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Turkey, and the Republic of Indonesia strongly condemn Israel's announcement of the appointment of a diplomatic envoy to what is called "the land of Somalia," considering it a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the unity and territorial integrity of its lands.

Zagazola Fact-Check: Viral claim of ISWAP blocking Maiduguri–Damaturu highway FALSE

…restriction of movement was a standard tactical measure…

By Zagazola Makama

Claims circulating online that suspected ISWAP or Boko Haram fighters blocked the Maiduguri–Damaturu highway in protest over alleged airstrikes have been found to be false, following verification from multiple security sources.

The viral video, which showed halted vehicles and armed personnel on the highway, had sparked concerns that insurgents had taken control of sections of the critical road linking Borno and Yobe states.

However, findings indicate that the temporary restriction of movement carried out by troops of 29 Brigade as part of an ongoing security operation in the Benisheikh axis.

A senior military source clarified that the road closure occurred in the early hours of Thursday and was aimed at preventing suspected terrorists from infiltrating Benisheikh town.

Further checks revealed that the operation was part of broader counter-insurgency efforts in the Kaga Local Government Area, where intelligence had earlier indicated possible movements of insurgents.

In the same vain, Air components of Operation HADIN KAI also conducted surveillance missions in the area. At about 1:43 a.m. on April 15, an armed reconnaissance patrol by a military scanned a 5 to 10-kilometre radius around Benisheikh but observed no insurgent activity.

Similarly, at about 12:04 a.m. on April 16, another aerial patrol covered key segments of the Maiduguri–Damaturu highway, including Auno, Maniok, Benisheikh, Ngamdu and Maiduguri metropolis, with no hostile activity recorded.

Security officials noted that the brief restriction of movement was a standard tactical measure to allow troops conduct clearance operations without interference or risk to civilians.

They urged the public to disregard misleading narratives suggesting that insurgents had blocked or taken over the highway, adding that such claims could cause unnecessary panic.

The Maiduguri–Damaturu road remains a strategic corridor in the North-East and is routinely secured through coordinated ground and air operations to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent insurgent attacks.

🇮🇷 BREAKING: The IRGC Navy just called Iran's own Foreign Minister an "idiot" on open international maritime radio.

"We will open it by the order of our leader, not by the tweets of some idiot."

Iran's FM announced the Strait open. The IRGC announced it closed.

The Iranian government is publicly contradicting itself

Arab Republic of Egypt. what an appellation cheesy

Somaliland should be allowed to exist. they are already basically a country (minus the UN recognition), and look like they have better heads on their shoulders and want to forge a properous community for their people when compared with the other Somalia.
all the strong-headed bloodletting "togetherness" of African countries are absolutely unnecessary.
which one is working??

Atiku is a perpetual political liability, who's impatient and lacks political strategic reasoning: impatience & supremacist tendencies have cost him his chances to Nigeria's presidency.

[quote author=BlueRayDick post=139134718]During the week a lady made a video about a bread she bought that lasted for 2 months and didn't go bad implying whatever preservatives used in it's production may be harmful to the health of consumers.

The lady didn't mention the name of the bread, and didn't show the logo/label of the bread in the video she made.

However, the owner of BON bread assumed she was referring to her bread and tried make her recant the video or make apology video for defaming her brand.

The CEO on the advise of her lawyers have now slammed the woman with a lawsuit despite the fact that her brand was never mentioned o. She claimed because the lady liked a comment on her original video that suggested she was referring to BON bread, then indeed her brand was the target of her video.

Personally I think she has hungry lawyers who want to milk her of whatever money she's been making from her business. I mean how are they going to present their case in court on mere assumption and not facts? If this was Erisco foods vs Chioma case one would say BON bread has a good case, but this one just be like say the CEO Wan use her own hand give her brand bad publicity.

from having hungry lawyers, she is like the typical neighbour who goes to Watchman or Chosen yet the most troublesome always eaves dropping at every conversation others have just to make trouble out of it.

Now she is going viral 😂

A lot of people didn't see the consumer's initial video she made about the bread. Even me just scrolled past it and didn't watch it until the woman made another video about being served papers by the CEO's lawyers.

Now so many people are talking about the bread and their discussion is not positive. There are people seriously questioning why the bread won't go bad after weeks and then there are people calling the CEO out for wanting to silence a consumer over her user experience.

I even saw a guy make a video showing the bread currently in his house. He said he wants to keep it for a month or two to confirm if indeed he should be worried because that is the bread he eats regularly.

All of these won't happen if the CEO and her lawyers didn't amplify the whole thing while relying on the comments the consumer liked on her own video.

Troops repel attack in Sokoto

By: Zagazola Makama

Troops of 8 Division have repelled an attack by suspected terrorists in Garin Hillo Village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Security sources said the incident occurred in the early hours of April 17, when troops deployed at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Gatawa responded to reports of terrorist activities in the area.

On arrival, the troops made contact with the assailants and engaged them in a firefight, forcing the attackers to retreat.

Further inquiry revealed that about 30 armed terrorists had stormed the village on foot, firing sporadically and causing panic among residents.

As a result of the attack, six civilians sustained gunshot wounds.

The injured victims were evacuated to the General Hospital in Sabon Birni for medical attention.

Troops have continued to dominate the general area to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of residents.

The woman didn't cover the brand logo very well, people familiar with the bread will surely figure it out
It's just like criticising Pepsi and you claim you remove the cover in the bottle but the content is still black.
She knows what she's doing, let her face the panel if she's really innocent

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Realmrsean: 11:32am On Apr 19
IRAN and it's resistance axis are the only organisation I've ever seen that removal of their top heads doesn't have any effect or would I say have less effects on battleground.

I have flashed back and reminisced how country's leaders who were removed brought a halt , meltdown or would I say I collapse of the regime or country

Assad fall led to the fall of his regime in Syria

Gaddafi death led to the fall of his regime in Libya

Maduro capture led to Venezuela catapulting and kissing the ring without even a fight.

Saddam heusem fall led to the end of the great Iraq.
Etc etc.

But here we have Iran whose supreme leader and top military figures were brutally murdered in the first day of a fight, yet these people put up one of the most insane devastating fights in the first 3 days of the war and continued to fight on this day.

Same can be said of it's axis where top heads like nassralah death didn't lead the the end of Hezbollah.

So I ask again, why aren't people recognising this feat of power.

Iran's mosaic architecture is one of the best I've seen out there..

These guys are gods on earth 🌍

Haba!

How can anybody look at picture one and conclude it is one and same with picture 2?

If that CEO no come forward to claim it was her bread, most people won't assume it was hers.

Do you know the possible number of bread brands that has orange branded logo on the bottom and side in the whole of naija?
