Arteta’s tactics are wack. He can’t read a game and make the right substitution. No matter how poor Eze May be, he shouldn’t have removed him. All our attacking effort ended immediately Eze was removed.

We need a massive clearance at the end of the season. Trossard, Martinelli, Havertz, White, G.Jesus and Odegaard all need to go. We must buy two quality right and left wingers, a top striker and an attack minded midfielder.
Well said. Started Eze on the left which is rubbish.
Then removed him instead of moving him into the ten position where he is most effective.

The thing about Eze is that he creates and takes chances in big games, something his contemporary in that position, Odegaard is no longer doing.

Arteta is too sentimental to push towards silverware.

Please just fire Arteta now and end the misery.
You people are unfair...Arteta has developed Arsenal from a team that struggles to make top 4 to a perennial title contender and one of the best teams in the whole of Europe. Say whatever you like, Arteta has done well for Arsenal and mind you, anything can still happen as far as the league is concerned. Please give him to us Chelsea. Coaching has been our own albatross, we will gladly take him over the mumu coaches we have had lately.

Arsenal chances of winning the EPL has dropped to zero. A team on the verge of winning the league lost 2 matches. If Man City win their next match on Wednesday, they will have equal points with same goal advantage. Me I just wish man city lose all their remaining matches, which is a possibility
How is it a possibility that city lose all their remaining matches? Wetin u smoke? grin

Unfortunately I honestly don't think Arsenal can win the premier league. Honestly they showed some spirit today but it all boils down to the wires. Arsenal fans should pray City looses on Tuesday otherwise it game over for Arsenal.

I just checked the table.
Arsenal is playing it's 33rd game with a point of 70 and a GD of 37
Man City is playing it's 32nd game with a point of 67 and a GD of 36.
If the game ends this way and Man City won it's 33rd game by 2:0, they will have the same point as Arsenal but with 38 GD against Arsenal GD of 37.
Man City will top the table. Arsenal needs prayer and hardwork.
Even if city win their next game with 1:0
Dem go still top because they have scored more goals than arsenal
Head to head too
Dey are still superior to arsenal
They just need to win by 1goal against Burnley and dey are top.

Mikel Arteta has definitely raised the level at Arsenal. But if we’re talking about what “doing well” really looks like at that club, you can’t ignore what Arsène Wenger built—it’s the foundation Arteta is standing on.

Wenger didn’t just improve Arsenal, he transformed them. He took a good side in the late ‘90s and turned them into a global powerhouse. Under him, Arsenal weren’t just “contenders”—they were winners. League titles, FA Cups, and of course the legendary Arsenal Invincibles season—going an entire Premier League campaign unbeaten. That’s not “anything can still happen,” that’s dominance.

And beyond trophies, Wenger modernized the entire club. From training methods to scouting to youth development, he built a football identity that lasted decades. Even during the later years when results dipped, Arsenal were consistently in the Champions League—something many clubs still struggle to sustain.

Arteta deserves credit, no doubt. But Wenger set a standard that makes “just competing” feel like progress, when Arsenal fans have seen what true greatness looks like. So if you’re asking Arsenal fans to let Arteta go, you’re basically asking them to gamble again—after already experiencing what a long-term visionary like Wenger can achieve.

Match over, man city won but it's still very open.

Man city know if they can win their remaining 5 games, the EPL title is theirs, but a little slip and if Arsenal wins theirs, then it's over.

Re: Manchester City Vs Arsenal At (2 - 1) On 19th April 2026 by IyaTola: 6:43pm On Apr 19
Yeah, if Manchester City win their game like that, they edge ahead on goal difference — but football rarely follows neat calculations. There’s still room for twists.

Arsenal aren’t just sitting there hoping for miracles. They’ve been consistent for most of the season, and teams under pressure can sometimes find another level. One strong win, a couple more goals, or even a slip from City changes the whole picture again.

Also, goal difference swings quickly — a single big result can flip that +1 gap right back. It’s not like City are miles ahead; it’s razor-thin.

So yeah, maybe a bit of “prayer” if you like, but it’s really about staying sharp, taking chances, and not letting the pressure crack them. Title races are won in moments like this — and Arsenal still have their moments left.

I knew it was a huge, huge ask for Arsenal to defeat Mancity given the rich vein of form they're in currently, but I thought they could eke out a draw at least.

Wow, what a game of football, from start to finish. This title race just got heated up by this City win. Arsenal were so unlucky with those balls hitting the post.

In Ex-Arsenal's player, Martin Keown's voice.... Arsenal has lost the battle, but the war goes on till the end of the season.
From now onwards, every Epl matches of City and Arsenal would be like a Cup final, whoever slips up, loses the league

Just a probability. Anything can happen in football.

Man city next five games are winnable, but football can be so unpredictable, still it's in their hands.
