This is just disgracing this country... How can ex servicemen be owed salary? Tomorrow they say that South East do not want to join military or something...how can people join when they put their lines there and they aren't appreciated and owed salary This is shameful.... I want to believe that BAT isn't aware of this |

DeepSight:all of us have had bad and sometimes terrible experiences with the Nigerian police the Nigerian police are at best a mercenary force who have to be paid to do their job and whose core directive is to harass and obtain a police man has no qualms about raping or robbing so they are extremely unsympathetic and it is hard to feel sympathy for what comes across as karma for all the misery they have inflicted |

In as much I have compassion for this police men, they were the ones who were shielding unscrupulous politicians, when citizens demanded for a better Nigeria, now the hen has come home to roost. everybody is now feeling the heat. |

The active police officers should tiagas them coz they are civilians now. That's what they usually do to unarmed peaceful protesters when they were active in service. Make dem see as e dey be. |

DeepSight:What's terrible in what I said? They've always been acting in the interest of their pocket and oppressing and masses. When we protest against poor governance in Nigeria, they'll take side with the government to attack us. Let them also experience poor governance. Some of them were most likely among those that shot at us during #endSARS. Again, no one should support them. |

Oxygenmayo:I believe that's the best way to protest, instead of causing a standstill on roads or looting someone's house or shop. A protest brought directly to the door of the president shows a terrible leader. |

Eyah I won't be shocked if a sizable number of them participated in shooting defenceless youths which led to the endsars protest! I won't be perplexed if they collected funds from their oppressors to stop free and fair elections in some parts of the country! Today most of them are now retired and broke with no hope of the future.... They are now the ones protesting! The interesting part is that the active and operational policemen are the ones trying to chase their former colleagues away from aso rock forgetting that they will also be in that position or predicament one day! If they had supported and joined several protests by the youths on the welfare of policemen and women, those same youths would have been in the crowd protesting on their behalf! Una go learn una lesson! There is collective consequences! |

It's not only military or paramilitary alone that should be exempted from this wicked pension contributory scheme it should be completely abolished for every civil servants,no workers deserve to be under the scheme. Pay every retirees their full pension money at retirement and let them go and do whatever they like with their money, someone who has spent 35 years in service or reached age of 60 should be able to know what to do with his or her pension money. |

They should be shot or they should use tear gas on them.. When we say act with church or mosque mind when in service you lots refused, thought retirement day or going back to be a civilian will never come.. I have no pity on them and their wards. If it's any other Nigerian group that tries this.. It will be gun shots by now. |
| Re: Retired Police Officers Block Aso Rock Gate, Protest Pension Scheme by tonesky(m): 6:20pm On Apr 20 |
Are they not the one promoting these bad government all these years? Politicians use them to intimidate people and rig election over a#5000 naira bribe. They think it will last forever, love what they are reaping, so others still in service could learn. |
