What do you do if someone refuses to pay you?

I picked up a woman’s mother and her kids a few days ago and she said to call her when the trip was done. Out of respect for the mother I didn’t tell them to stay before I collected my money, as soon as the trip finished the woman started by disputing the fate price, claiming it was not what Bolt gave her (I didn’t realize this was to allow her family go far) I kept having a back and forth with her about it. By this time I’d gone for another trip, long story short, she has refused to pay me.

I know what I plan on doing about it, I just wanted to ask the more experienced guys here because I have two people in this boat here.

There's nothing to do but complain to Bolt,
Ask for full compensation when they offer 50% of the money.
They will follow up with the Rider and eventually pay u or ask the Rider to pay.

Next time, if the person paying is not the person riding, collect your money before u let them go except u know it's easy to come back to either pickup up or drop off point and request for your money. No sentiments unless it's an amount I can let go.
This also applies to deliveries, I get my payment before I let go of the package. Next trip will wait, if they cancel I will get another one. I will not be rushing for another bush meat when d current one in my hand hasn't been properly bagged.

Some people are just wicked and need force to act, cos she has clearly seen the price on her end, it's not as if u want to cheat her. And she has the money.
But no go fight or cause a scene cos Bolt always says we should not be violent. If she no pay as u don tell am, Bolt will pay u and find a way to collect it back from her. Na them get system na. Na dem hold yam and knife.

Bolt without their campaigns sometimes is such a struggle.

I feel those campaigns are even our money sef - Like 9 rides for 9k - I feel that's part of the high commission we pay to Bolt that they decide to give back a few times a month, with high requirements. I still remember the one of 11k for 13 rides. I been wan faint that day.

Without those campaigns, it's a struggle for me on the island with all these N2k trips. I even saw one today for N1.8k, I was shocked. Though it was a short trip, but still man, chai.

Bought 18k fuel today and could barely gross 36k

Bought 12k fuel yesterday and in trying to gross 24k, my fuel finished, lol. Though I did run some personal errands, but still. Thank God i was near a filling station when the car shut down.

No surge recently on the island, what gives? Guess too many cars here, awon lagride, bolt, uber, cabzero...

Sometimes you get generous tippers that make your day worth it. Like this Angel guy that paid 15k to wait for a little bit. Excellent income while car is shutdown and petrol consumption is zero.

With no tipping, no campaigns, meeen!

Bolt needs to increase prices slightly men and drop their commission.

But it seems they will never, ever, ever drop that commission.

I was just looking at my monthly statement on Bolt and noticing how much I pay in commission. Like you'd see 300k and I know fuel would probably have been like 150k, so net for me would be like 150k, yet YOU'D SEE LIKE 80K BOLT COMMISSION, CHAI.

I feel like a slave sometimes, so I get 150k with all the suffering and they get 80k for doing almost nothinghuh WTF?
phase 1 and funny trips and prices. i can never use bolt though. una dey try

Like what and what is done in America that is not workable here?
Do u manufacture cars in ur country? NO
The people manufacturing cars Japan, South Korea, China, America and Europe aren't using it.
The people using it like in India have it custom made from the manufacturing plant like Tata and Suzuki.

But typical of Nigerians, sofa it works on d surface, it is good. Not thinking the long term problems it will create. The same way our kazeems will replace 2 bolts after removing 4 or using Peugeot AC compressor in a Toyota car. "E no mean, e go work"
Bro I would have responded but some folks already think I did? grin See I won't bother u with this cng thing bro I'm just surprised that a guy like urself cause even tho we disagree I respect ur hustle and d work u have put into this as anyone here knows so I'm just surprised y u r so against what gives an edge in business but I guess u r vested in electric which is also good iz just not fit now. I mean even d money used for cng will be recovered in 3 weeks I know someone here who did it not long ago and has fully recovered the cng money lipsrsealed

Let's forget about cng abeg everyone sud do what dey r comfy with as long as we are advancing

Did u report this under the trip in question and under "Rider didn't pay or paid less" ?

Cos like they are saying u didn't follow d proper channels.

Also when u are complaining u have to say what really happened and also make it convincing that they refused to pay cos they will ask the Rider to.
What u typed here is not remotely related to what u said happened

There were two cases. That’s why my narrative sounds unrelated. They’ve offered me 50% compensation. I insisted on 100% but they said policy.
