Looking at the exam mode, "Jamb"
They are obj questions, and considering the the subject Science class do, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. A science student writing jamb can't escape calculations subject, in fact , for some, all of their subject is calculations. And with calculations, their is no how you can be brilliant, that you will not lay your hands to write one or two before you can get answers, don't forget, all this takes time, infact, you can still make little mistakes that will warrant you to start again , and all of this things takes time.

Imagine they give you multiplication of 3 by 3 matrix, inverse of 3 by 3, equation of locus, integration by parts, standard deviation of grouped data, menstruation of frustum of a cone, proving of Trigonometry identity, some listed topics here can take you 3 min to do. Now Imagine you using 3 minutes to do it and eventually making silly mistakes, you will still want to do it again. All these consumes time.
So, no matter how you are brilliant, even we that teaches, we will still use time to answer calculations questions which takes time.
For Physics, You are lost in the wilderness of formulae, I did the summation of all formulae in Physics for jamb syllabus and it's over 100 formulae, you hardly solve Physics questions without applying formulae, once you don't know formulae, their is nothing you can do, the best is to leave it and move to the next questions. Because, wasting time on something you don't have idea is stupidity.
Apart from formulae is Conversion, you need to convert some quantity to needed quantity before you can use them.
Apart from conversion is formulae in Formulae. Some topics in Physics has it in a way that a formulae can still have 2 to 3 more formulae again.
Apart from that is the memorization of your angle , especially if you were not giving special angles. Once you don't know what Sin60 is, you will not be able to do questions on it, because, SIN is not on calculator, what of logarithm in Radioactivity, what of exponential in Radioactivity, what of factorial for Permutations and Combination. I remember a year that made a student of my rewrite his exam. He was asked to find decimal form of surd 2, after a rigorous solving, he said he had like 4 of such questions and he missed them. Because no surd on calculator. That is close to 10 marks, that 10 marks made him not qualified for medicine, he had to write jamb again, before he now scored 315. So, please never ever compare science class with art class in jamb exams, in fact In all exams. Both of us read, but one answers a question without any process and the other does it with a long crazy process, during the process, you are still liable to make mistakes.

You will hardly see a SS1 students that failed in Art class and was moved into Science class, I have not seen one in my life. But when SS1 science class student fails they move them to Art, or Commercial.
Don't ever compare us please......
