Good evening everyone, I'm here on behalf of my nephew. He wanted to study Nursing but his jamb score isn't up to the cutoff (219) but he has a very good O'Level, that is out of 5 important subject, he has 2×A1, 2×B2, and B3, so we are planning to change his course. Below are the list of course I want u to help me suggest that has a good potential and higher rate of employment
1. Radiology
2. Anatomy
3. Physiology
And if you have a good recommendation

How old is he?
He can get a degree in radiology. Go ahead to do Medicine and specialize in the numerous field of radiology.

Don't think about the time being long at all. If he is 19years now at 30-31 years he would have finished both degrees n Radiology and medicine even with ASUU strike. With direct entry, it will be shorter sef. Even in some western world, you don't go straight into medicine just like that. You must have a background degrees in one of the medical sciences.

Diagnostic Radiology – Reads X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound for diagnosis
Interventional Radiology (IR) – Image-guided procedures/treatments
Nuclear Medicine – Uses radioactive tracers; PET/SPECT scans + therapy

I've been calculating his grade both for him to know which school can give him admission on those course. Radiology is more demanding and I hope he gain admission this time around.

Radiology is the best choice, please. It is a professional course, and there's a high probability of you being employed after schooling.

The rest are virtually irrelevant in terms of employment.

Radiology is not basic medical course.
Radiography, it is.

You MUST already be a medical doctor before you can SPECIALISE in Radiology. This takes another 5-6 years

why not enroll your nephew into private university to do nursing is on high demand.

He will rush to study any of Radiology, Anatomy or Physiology and eventually go and start learning another crafty skill because there's no job for him anywhere in Nigeria

Radiology might be a good option to consider. However, it’s important to let him be at the centre of the decision. Ask him what he truly wants, so he doesn’t end up studying a course he has no interest in.

Radiology is not done as a separate course in Nigeria but is studied at postgraduate (residency) level in medicine. Perhaps you meant Radiography which is a good course but that score of 219 might not get him the course especially if his choice of university is competitive.

As for the other courses, instead of him to study those ones, he should rather wait and rewrite JAMB.
