Hi .. I have npc birth certificate and my birth is after 1992 . however , there is a name spelling issue, same meaning . Although, I have been using this certificate for all my documents in Nigeria without any issues but I’m skeptical about using it for Germany. Should I get Attestation of age or get an e- affidavit to say I’m the same person ? I will be expecting your responses .. thank you. |

do not use an Attestation of Age you must obtain a Sworn Affidavit of One and the Same Person to legally declare that "Sakiratu" and "Shakirat" refer to the same individual Chocolatey17: |

ehizojieonuku:1. If your immediate elder sister is the current head of the family, yes, you can use her, provided this would be maintained all through your application. The German embassy strictly states that in the case of deceased parents, the current family head should be the deponent, so that's left to the family but I'd advise you navigate with care. 2. Yes, you should be ready to prove that both of your parents are deceased, because they would most likely ask. I'd say you should have their death certificates available and attach them to the affidavit (just my opinion). |

Tifay:I needed to do ZAB which took 3months, I had to do alot of affidavit because most of my documents had name issues. Apart from those, everything went smoothly afterwards. |

| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by BennyN: 3:39pm On Apr 21 |
Good day everyone ![]() I have carefully read everything on this thread from page one till the last and I'm highly motivated to start straight up, I also want to thank everyone who has contributed and shared so many ideas, and to those who have successfully travelled via this route, I say congratulation and goodluck to every other applicants. Please here are my confusion @cyberbro: 1. I studied optometry (Doctor of optometry) and currently practing here in Nigeria, it seems this opportunity card visa does not really favour those into medical profession as I have not seen anyone who is into medicals apply and gotten a visa, the doctor who asked a question earlier was told that german language is a must since he/she is a doctor, is that really correct? 2. I have checked ANABIN and my university is H+ but my course is written as Bsc in Optometry where as in my certificate, it is written Doctor of Optometry (OD). Bsc in Optometry was earlier offered in Nigeria but was later changed to Doctor of Optometry (OD). Is this something I can explain or I should rather do ZAB? Please if there is any medical practioner here who has successfully gotten his/her visa approved, I need your help. Thanks |

BennyN:1. First of all, the medical profession is highly regarded and guarded in Germany and that makes it a regulated field, meaning that you cannot just practice directly, except for when you have your approbation/erlaubnis. Now in your own case, you need to show readiness to learn German by enrolling in a course pending your application. The Chancenkarte doesn't strictly require you to learn German, but it makes no sense not to learn since the profession is practically only accessible in German language. So try to learn at least up to B1 level while in the waiting period if you want to be taken seriously by the VO. 2. Kindly do your ZAB evaluation if you don't want issues. All that story of change of title from BSc to OD, is a very long thing... Better don't waste your time while trying to economize, otherwise you may be forced to start over and join the queue all over. Don't think about the cost, just do it. |

Please can one of our successful applicants here, help us drop a comprehensive letter of motivation/SoP? So, we can see what the letter of motivation should look like for this process and follow that format too. Thanks |

Thanks a lot for your response, this platform goethe institute, is it totally online? cyberbro: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 1:57pm On Apr 22 |
BennyN:Goethe has a physical center in VI but I don't know the current status of their center. They also take some classes online, which I believe is quite slow and overrated, but that's subjective. Regardless, you can learn with them or anywhere else and write the exam at Goethe. All the best. |

Hello everyone Please when trying to upload a document (after you have been called for preliminary review), will the old documents you uploaded before the PR disappear after you submit your application? I'm trying to delete an odd document i uploaded in error when I joined the waitlist but I can't. Will it disappear after I have submitted? |

| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Chocolatey17: 6:23pm On Apr 26 |
Good evening everyone; Please, for those that have successfully done their preliminary reviews, I want to ask if you were able to edit all the information (personal details ) you filled initially. Like place of birth, parents name and other details please. I realized that the place of birth I filled is different from what’s on my birth certificate and also, I want to fill in my mum’s name as it is exactly in my birth certificate . Thank you . Please I need response 🙏 |

cyberbro:ZAB alone will not suffice. Statement of comparability is just to ascertain equivalence or a kind of partial recognition. Before you can work in a regulated profession you have to do the real recognition or license to practice. Check Anerkennung in Deutschland Website for more details. |

Chocolatey17:Yes you can edit… but i highly doubt one can delete already uploaded documents |
