Senator Osita Ngwu, the Minority Whip and Enugu West representative, has defected from the PDP to the APC

Senator Osita Ngwu, the Senate Minority Whip and representative of Enugu West Senatorial District, has officially defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ngwu’s defection letter was read on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday.

His defection has now reduced the number of PDP senators in the Red Chamber to 6.

But one thing is obvious! The people in government, who see things for themselves and the direction of how the country is going first hand are the ones defecting from one party to the other. It only simply means that you and the political office holders on seat do not see things from the same perspective. And that's the reason I'll really not need to explain anything to anybody again.

I never mentioned anything like rigging here. But one fact I want you to know is that any politician who defects to another party he's not defecting in isolation, he's going into the new party with all his eligible supporters. I found out that 85% of the people that make noise and complain Nigeria is bad Nigeria is not good do not even have voters card. It is one of the reasons the ADC is allegedly trying to prioritize membership card over the voters card. How do you expect that to work?

My brother, I think politics should be left for the politician while the masses only exercise their rights to vote.
