Even as a private property owner, no tenant of mine is permitted to make any alterations to my house without my permission.
If I were the LASG, I would make it compulsory that only state certified engineers carry out the installation of any solar thing in any state owned estate.
You don't know the lies that are behind most of the solar energy products being marketed in Nigeria.
Government has a lot of things to do with money and they have a duty to protect housing estates from avoidable damages due to low budget structural changes or additions.

In some countries, citizens are allowed to generate power from their solar panels and even SELL part of this power to the National Grid (Germany is an Example)

Where did you reside abroad that requested for payment or permit before a Soler installation?

The Soler companies already have the permit and their licensed workers are well trained so that cuts your business with any government official.

You have to connect your solar to the local grid overseeing company and can return excess or unused energy back to the local grid and get paid for it, that is what I was responding to when I responded to the comment I quoted. You are correct with your comment.


I am against individual homes needing to connect their solar power to government electricity management agency because they will end up ripping off Nigerians by not paying them for excess unused solar power they return to local grid.

He talked about individual homes returning excess unused energy back to local grid and they get paid for it, I am against such practice in Nigeria where government agencies only collect from Nigerians and never give back because if they enforce connecting every solar back to government grid, even if you return 1megawatt unused solar power back to government grid, they will never pay you for it.
